Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales Trainee to join our team at a SES branch. What You'll Do
Learn about the products and services offered by the low voltage distributor, including their features, applications, and benefits.
Assist the sales team in prospecting and lead generation activities, such as researching potential customers and collecting relevant contact information.
Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to understand the sales process, sales techniques, and product knowledge.
Support the Inside Sales Representatives in conducting product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about products, pricing, availability, and delivery options.
Collaborate with the sales team to prepare and submit sales quotations, proposals, and bids.
Assist with order processing, including entering orders into the system, coordinating with the operations team, and tracking order status.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, sales activities, and communication logs using CRM software.
Shadow experienced sales representatives during customer calls, meetings, and negotiations to learn effective selling techniques and customer relationship management.
Stay updated with industry trends, product advancements, and competitor activities to contribute to the team's market intelligence.

SES works with over 400 vendors and on any given day we offer over 300,000 different products.
Step 1
We have found that by starting in our warehouse, you will begin to understand our products and vendors. This will entail shipping, receiving, stocking, etc. Time spent in the warehouse- 3-6 months (estimate).
Step 2
You will be working with Sales and Management in learning our system, placing orders, picking orders, low voltage classes and various other functions. Time spent in learning- 3-6 months (estimate).
Step 3
Once we feel you are comfortable with our business model, products, and services, we will pair you with a seasoned Sales Associate who will be your mentor. Time spent with mentor - 3 months.

Overview

2. Assists in inspection, testing, repairing, rebuilding, overhauling, reconditioning, and troubleshooting controls associated with electrical equipment in shop or at job site, as required.
3. Operates shop and portable equipment and machinery required to test, maintain and fabricate devices worked on.
4. Fabricates gaskets, control cables, bus bars; operates hand and small power tools, such: as embossing and stencil machines; assembles and treats hot line tools and switch sticks; uses common types of test equipment, such as: meters, meggers, ductors, TTR testers; and assists in insulation testing of electrical equipment worked on.
5. Assists in special tests or fabrication of specialized equipment, as assigned and directed.
6. Perform an assigned Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
7. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (supplied flame resistance clothing) when required.

Grid Strategy, Planning & Integration - Maintain distributed energy sites on the Distribution Grid (batteries and solar sites) while interfacing with Engineering, Controls, and Maintenance. Some example projects would be programming site RTACS to interface with our PII server, programming our RTACS to automate dispatch), analyzing performance data (this could be operations data from or maintenance data), or troubleshooting issues. This will provide the intern with real world experience in renewables, primarily energy storage. The Grid Planning Studies team focuses on transmission-level analysis of generator additions and modifications in Duke Energy Carolinas, Duke Energy Florida, and Duke Energy Progress. These generation resources include but are not limited to solar, battery, and natural gas sites that may range from several MW to in excess of 1 GW. In addition to developing foundational knowledge related to transmission planning activities, the intern position will provide hands-on experience with power flow tools such as PSS E and TARA. As a Transmission intern, you will assist in managing Transmission projects to ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently and within scope, on schedule, and within budget. Work closely with personnel throughout the Eversource Company to engineer, design, site, permit, and construct assigned projects. This intern position also assists project managers with securing approval for permits and licenses, budgets materials, contractors, and other resources. * Communicates and provides clear, concise, and comprehensive status reports on assigned tasks or project segments to the Project Manager as required.
* Maintain compliance documentation and evidence within the corporate database to ensure material is accurate and available for regulatory audits
* Coordinate regulatory audit preparation activities to ensure potential non-compliance issues are identified and corrected
* Assist with developing processes, procedural controls, and implementation mechanisms for achieving and sustaining compliance with all applicable standard requirements
