Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated professional Factory ApplicationsEngineer to join our team in an Applications role. This position supports the Device Interface Alliance (DIA) team and collaborates closely with DIS Tech to deliver interface solutions for strategic projects and customer enablement.
+ Create Artwork Packages to support Sales and requests from 3rd Parties or Customers.
+ Work with Engineering to update DIB Design Guidelines.
+ Collaborate with DIS Tech to develop symbols and embed them in tools used for Seed File and Artwork Packages.
+ Test new versions of Start program and Seed Package creation tool.
+ Act as coach, provide templates, and answer questions.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $123,400 - $197,500. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.

This position is for a Senior product applicationsengineer who will be part of the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) group. Products in this strategy include integrated high speed Pin Electronics and Digital Power Supplies targeted towards automated test equipment applications. There is an exciting roadmap of new products planned and the product applicationsengineer will be part of a growing team responsible for ATE products from concept and definition through production, release, and sustaining. Responsibilities:
* Be a key driver in the design-in success of released ATE products and products under development. Manage relationships with customers during their design-in phase by understanding their applications and providing innovative, practical, and timely solutions to their challenges
* Become an expert in the application-level software provided with our devices and support customers during the software integration process. Communicate and collaborate effectively with our software team. Understand industry-standard software development flows and tools, such as version control, regression and testing frameworks, and software documentation
* Contribute to the development of evaluation hardware and debug programs. Build demonstrations to showcase the novel functionality of our devices
* Creation of Technical literature to support the customer design in journey, this includes datasheets, user guides, application notes, reference designs, technical articles and FAQs

Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification with at least 5 years' experience. Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred.
* Experience needed with high level software languages. Examples include Python, C#, Labview or Matlab. You should be comfortable with scripting and measurement automation.
* Experience with embedded firmware and associated debugging tools is beneficial.
* Experience working with FPGAs and familiarity with the FPGA Design environments would be a plus.
* You should have experience with analog & high speed circuits generally. Additional experience with power management ICs, PLLs, or high speed Serdes is also beneficial.
* Experience with ATE products including pin drivers, comparators, parametric measurement units (PPMU) and device power supplies (DPS) from a design or a usage perspective would be desirable.
* PCB schematic entry, preferably in Cadence ALLEGRO and understanding of good layout design principles is required

The Role:
The Product Applicationsengineer will focus on providing innovative products and reference solutions for the fast-growing Data Center, Automotive, Energy and Industrial market. Responsibilities:
* Work closely with lead system architects and designers on High-Voltage Power Conversion system evaluation and performance analysis to ensure target application alignment
* Collaborate with customers and Field ApplicationEngineers to solve complex design challenges, mainly in support of the High Voltage power conversion.
* Support existing and new product launches with benchtop measurements and the creation of technical collateral (datasheets, evaluation boards, user guides, application notes, technical articles etc.).
* Deliver technical training and develop related content for internal teams and partners.
* Expand the reach of our High Voltage Power Conversion solutions through digital content like blogs, videos, and technical articles.

Education & Experience:
* Minimum BSEE + 5 years of experience; Preferred MSEE (or equivalent) + 7 years of experience in applicationsengineering or technical marketing, ideally in the semiconductor or high-tech sector.

About the Role

Minimum Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience
5+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience taking complex wireless platforms from development to market.
Proven expertise in automating RF tests and working with advanced lab equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes)
Deep knowledge of analog and RF circuits, high-speed serial interfaces, ADCs/DACs, and mixed-signal systems.

Develop software simulations and analyze performance of algorithms.
Work with other researchers and engineers, inside and outside the AAT, to connect our work with the goals of the Automotive business units.

Derive core mathematical expression for problems of interest.

The nature of projects will require collaboration across the organization with different engineering functions, operations, quality, supply chain, and management to ensure goals are met.
Wire bonding processes
will be the primary focus area, but this individual may also be asked to support design, continuous improvement, and root-cause corrective action tasks among various other efforts.
This position is hands on, fully in-office, supporting 1st shift operations Monday-Friday 7 AM - 3 PM.
It will require learning and becoming proficient across a multitude of automated and manual pieces of equipment as well as the operations that utilize them. The process engineer will be responsible for establishing new processes, improving current process, and supporting the competency of operations across the following:
Hand assembly
Automated and manual wedge and ball bonding (F&K, Hesse, Westbond, etc.)
Bond pull/shear testing and rework (Dage, XYZtec, Bondtec, etc.)
Plasma and solvent cleaning technologies (Panasonic, March, etc.)
The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of electronics construction with a strong aptitude and interest in working with automated and manual assembly equipment as well as the communication skills required to work with various team members. This is a visible role that will require the qualified candidate to be adaptable, take initiative, and be a solid team player. Additional opportunities exist for growth leading data collection/visualization (i.e. SQL database development and PowerBI visualization), working in collaboration systems (such as SharePoint), and statistical analysis to drive business improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering discipline
2 years' minimum experience in electronics manufacturing
Understanding of MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, and other associated standards preferred
Communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions, interpret and author equipment manuals and process documentation.
General working knowledge of automated processing equipment preferred
Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope is necessary
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Minitab statistical software, and AutoCAD or related modeling software.

Responsibilities:
Generate detailed assembly guides documenting processes, including component attach, mechanical assembly, wirebond, and seal operations.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality within assembly and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to develop fixturing and improve designs for manufacturability.
Implement process improvements for existing assembly methods.
Work with Design Engineering to incorporate design-for-manufacturing best practices to improve time-to-market, cost, and quality.
Aid in risk identification and mitigation with Design and Process Development engineers to support production release schedules.
Characterize and monitor newly released processes in collaboration with Development and Process Sustaining engineers.
Contribute to robust product test plans and methods in partnership with Design and Test Engineering teams.
Support process documentation updates, including implementation in a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Perform data analysis to optimize processes, ensure Statistical Process Control (SPC), and improve yield.
Assist in coordinating manufacturing plans and schedules for pipeline development.
Requirements:
Pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T.
Experience or familiarity with manufacturing techniques, including wire bonding, die attach, and surface mount technologies (preferred through internships).
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with CAD tools (preferably SolidWorks) and MS Office.
Analytical skills with a solid understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience in a workshop setting, including manufacturing, assembly, and prototyping.

Analog Devices Federal LLC is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting new and existing for microwave and millimeter wave electronic module manufacturing. The selected candidate will be responsible for facilitating the smooth transition of new products from development into our internal manufacturing facility in Chelmsford, MA. This includes oversight of manufacturing readiness, collaboration with the advanced technology process development team, and conducting data analysis to improve yield and throughput throughout the product lifecycle by managing and driving continuous improvement activities. Identify and resolve manufacturing risks in conjunction with Design and Process Development engineers to de-risk product release schedules
Work with Process Development and Process Sustaining engineers to help characterize and monitor new and released processes
Work with the Design Engineering and Test Engineering organizations to ensure robust product test plans and methods are being utilized during the development process and carried forward into production.
Coordinate with Design Engineering, Program Management and Manufacturing to develop and implement manufacturing plan & schedules for the development pipeline.
Lead and participate in the yield and technical review committees on new and released products to ensure supply chain continuity, supplier changes, yield & cost improvement activities.
Lead efforts to address component obsolescence, customer returns, and supplier issues associated with products they are responsible for.
Work with Design, Manufacturing and Test to address supplier and customer requests and events
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Material Science, or related engineering discipline
3+ Years prior experience working in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with statistical data analysis methods and software
Strong analytical mind with problem solving skills.
