What do our Termite Technicians do?
Termite Technicians use their expertise to play a role in protecting customers properties from wood destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services that you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Identify customer's termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
Applying anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
Verifying that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
Completing production forms documenting services provided
Interacting with customers and explaining services provided
Essential Job Functions:
Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
Prepare the job site for treatment
Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
You need to be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder along with working in small confined spaces.
General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is plus
Ability to work on a roofs and high areas
Lots of moving around - regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
You'll need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator, and you'll need to be okay with regularly working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways (anywhere the critters live)
What do you need?
Clean shaven face- for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
High school diploma or GED
Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence (Company vehicle and gas card provided)
At least 1 years of customer service, experience in termite control is a plus
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. You'll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.

Provides emergency restoration and disaster recovery services to customers following assigned work orders provided by the Lead Technician/Crew Chief.
Job Responsibilities
Performs water/fire/smoke damage and mold remediation repair as directed by supervisor to include water extraction, pack-out of contents, removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials, cleaning, light construction and demolition
Sets up and monitors air movers and/or dehumidifiers

Pay Ranges
This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for understanding Orkin's termite protection services and how to make strategic recommendations to customers. By performing 360 inspections from attics to crawlspaces and everything in between, you'll be able to solve problems and build trusted relationships ensuring homes and families are protected. Adept at listening to needs and clearly explaining practical solutions, you can win over customers with confidence and care.
You will…
Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
Serve as an empathetic problem solver for customers by utilizing the in-depth training provided to recommend the best innovative overall pest solution for each customer's needs.
Achieve goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads-we have a robust advertising budget to provide you with leads.
Schedule sales appointments and meet with potential customers in their homes where you will explain how Orkin's products and services can give them peace of mind.
Inspect the interior and exterior of the customer's home-don't worry, we teach you how!
Make recommendations to customers based on inspection and issues identified by addressing any questions, explaining the process and setting expectations.
Use the iPad we provide to prepare sales agreements and help you stay organized-we will provide training on this too.

What do you need to be successful?
High School Diploma or equivalent required
No Experience Required!
Valid driver's license required
Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)
Ability to work in the field independently and interact with our great clients
What will my work environment be like?
Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:
Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
