The Asset Manager is responsible for a wide range of activities directed at managing and optimizing energy assets and their underlying P&L.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned as needed)
Finance:
Develop annual budgets for the projects and perform monthly variance analyses
Provide input and review of the pro-forma financial models for generation assets
Author reports on project performance for investors and lenders and maintain such relationships
Assist in cash flow forecasting and management
Perform financial analyses of offtakes to determine opportunities.
Develop other ad-hoc economic analyses as needed.
Identify and implement opportunities to optimize projects and budgets
Lead coordination with partners, as applicable, including commercial, operational, and financial reporting and optimization
Operations:
Collaborate with the operations engineering team to evaluate and improve operational performance and quantitatively justify economics.
Coordinate with project O&M staff on other operational items, including major component repair and replacement
Participate in contract development with outside vendors including contract negotiation
Support commercial operations including net position management on energy, RECs, and resource adequacy
Regulatory and compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project agreements
Power Purchase and Interconnection Agreements
Operating Agreements
Credit Agreements
Operations and Maintenance Agreements
Land Agreements
Warranty Agreements
Risk Management:
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and Operations on all insurance claims including site visits and inspections, root cause analysis, and the calculation and negotiation of claim settlements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or Engineering. MBA preferred.
At least 8 years of work experience in the California, Texas, and/or New York energy/utilities sector, preferably managing solar, wind, and/or battery assets
Experience onboarding all commercial aspects of greenfield renewable and/or battery projects in California, Texas, and/or New York
Experience with various forms of offtakes including unit-contingent power purchase agreements (PPAs), fixed quantity swaps, contracts for differences, BESS tolling, Index Plus, and Virtual PPAs.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
* Develop and implement key category strategies for high impact, usage and/or spend areas
* Develop and maintain key supplier relationships for category responsibilities.

* Initiate, plan and execute strategic business reviews for key categories.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
* 3+ years Category Management experience or 5 years of sourcing and procurement experience
* Has solid knowledge and ability to define a simple category, to run spend/usage/market analysis, and develop the appropriate category strategy and benefit analysis.
* Proficient sourcing practitioner that demonstrates solid knowledge and ability to apply the sourcing process including conducting all preparation activities (data, demand & market analysis) and running e-Sourcing projects
* Expert negotiator that can lead large cross-functional negotiation teams and negotiate across multiple negotiation points
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of the practical and risk impacts of contract terms and conditions and proficient at managing the red line contracting process
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial statements and ability of apply total costs methods including TCO estimations, NPV models, should-cost models
* Proficient at managing projects and associated activities including work plans, risk registers, stakeholder management, business case development, etc.

Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise field technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
Perform and oversee high-voltage and control voltage field operations, including transformer testing, grounding, and troubleshooting of 600V systems.
Coordinate with utility and telecommunications providers to ensure compliance with network and electrical specifications.
Conduct field quality control inspections, ensuring adherence to engineering and safety standards.
Manage the tracker for field activities, schedules, and project status.
Plan and schedule technician site visits, arrange travel, and assign project tasks.
Conduct site and field testing and assist with Statement of Work (SOW) reviews.
Train new employees on safety protocols, high-voltage procedures, and field testing standards.
Support new project deployment and system upgrades, ensuring all field equipment meets operational requirements.
Manage PPE inventory and equipment calibration, ensuring certifications and recertifications are up to date.
Conduct regular field employee quality control visits.
Approve payroll, time off, and expense reports for field staff.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in field operations, utility deployment, or high-voltage electrical systems.
Proven hands-on experience with control voltage and transformer testing.
Working knowledge of 600V electrical systems and field safety standards.
Previous experience in telecommunications or internet service infrastructure preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

OSHA and/or DOT certifications a plus.
Management Responsibility
