The position of Territory Sales Manager will serve as an integral part of the Copperweld Building Wire Residential sales team. Through the coordination of initiatives focused on executing strategies that drive long-term sales performance, the Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for exceeding the sales and profit goals for the Copperweld Building Wire product line, serving as the brand representative within his defined territory, and educating the contractor, builder, and inspector communities. This position will work cross-functionally throughout the organization to ensure the goals and objectives of the Building Wire Product Line are successfully executed. The Territory Sales Manager - Building Wire position will report directly to and receive all strategic direction, guidance, and approvals from the President of Building Wire. WHAT we need you to do. Execute and exceed Building Wire Sales Develop the market by creating a strategic go-to-market strategy for identified territory with SWOT analysis by market to include plan, target accounts, distribution strategy for the region. Develop a strategy to identify and execute conversion opportunities for all Residential Electric Contractor (REC) accounts within defined territory Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive brand awareness and product adoption for Copperweld products within REC's identified. Continued prospecting and account development activities that result in account conversion, sales, and a favorable impact to EBITDA Develop matrix of inspector communities (AHJ's) within area of responsibility to identify any areas of restriction. With the support of Copperweld, develop action plan to address each area of restrict, resulting in favorable outcomes for Copperweld Create industry awareness by attending local and regional trade shows and marketing events. Where applicable, serve a speaker and/or provide technical articles within the appropriate industry communities to drive brand awareness, education, and successful adoption of Copperweld branded products Identify and foster relationships with key distribution channels within defined territory Drive sales and stocking programs with strategic distributors Conduct lunch-n-learns and other educational forums at local and regional distribution locations to drive education and sales of Copperweld branded products As required, support and attend local distribution trade show opportunities i.e. Open House, etc. Work cross-functionally within the Building Wire organization to increase the collective IQ of the organization, exceed product line sales and objectives, and share best practices Stay up-to-date on applicable codes and regulations Retain membership within any current trade organizations that drive brand awareness, for Copperweld, and help achieve Copperweld exceed its sales goals Serve as a brand ambassador within identified trade communities Collaborate with local manufacturer, trade, and regulatory representatives to promote Copperweld and drive brand awareness Support product development by assisting Sales and Marketing with Marketing Literature, Website development support and Technical/commercial presentations, Etc. Routinely update the Executive team by preparing material and presenting to the progress of all initiatives including supporting the meeting facilitator to ensure all required data is collected and reviewed for accuracy. Other duties as assigned. WHAT you need to possess. High School Diploma or GED required with Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 8+ years of sales experience in the electrical industry. Experience working in an Electrical Contractor capacity or working with electrical contractors is highly preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, Smartsheet, and experience with an ERP system strongly preferred. CRM experience required.
