The Crisis Specialist will be asked to assess individuals in crisis situations including but not limited to: alcohol and substance use issues, psychosis, paranoia, suicidality and victims of domestic violence. They must operate closely with Police and Fire departments and community organizations to provide the utmost care and protection for both clients and staff; and incorporate knowledge about de-escalating clients and help them discover creative solutions to their immediate problems. They will provide written and/or verbal data as well as daily follow through with clients providing additional referrals and resources as needed.
Your duties would include but are not limited to:
* Providing phone, walk-in and in-home crisis counseling to clients in order to facilitate immediate stabilization of emotions and behavior. Focus of care will be with the seriously mentally ill, children/ adolescents and includes suicide and family
* Develop short-term crisis management plans with clients/or families when appropriate.
* Assist clients in developing a plan of action and makes appropriate referrals to other agencies and/ or long-term counseling when appropriate.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health (BH) experience or
Associate degree in the BH field, or bachelor's degree in BH field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling), or bachelor's degree in non-behavioral health field with 1 year minimum of BH experience
Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days of employment
Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be (21 years of age) with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy. Driving is an essential function of this position.

Position Summary: Under the Agency's policies and professional requirements, with oversight by the Clinical Manager, the Arizona Families F.I.R.S.T. The engagement process includes conducting a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to determine the diagnosis and individual treatment needs of the client. The AFF Assessment Clinician may complete assessments for AFF clients referred from any of the Terros Health-contracted regions, including Maricopa East, Maricopa West, Northern and Southern regions. The AFF Assessment Clinician participates in the development of the Service Plan through the service team format, which strives to effectively meet the patient's/family's needs and aims to result in improve health outcomes. This position is responsible for providing evidence-based, therapeutic interventions which may include outpatient counseling services for adults, children, adolescents, families, couples and groups. The position reports to the Clinical Site Manager or Director of AFF Regions.
Clinician Duties May Include:
* Prior to the assessment, reviews the DCS referral and supplemental documents to gain insight about the family system from DCS' perspective, including prior treatment attempts, child safety threats related to substance use, and other barriers to reunification.
* Conducts a comprehensive biopsychosocial and ASAM Criteria assessment to identify whether the patient requires treatment, and if so, the treatment level of care and supportive services necessary to meet the patient's needs.
* Requests additional information from the referring DCS/DES Specialist if the determination is that substance use disorder treatment is not recommended; including discussions surrounding the original reason the referral was made and confirm that no additional information is available that would influence the determination, as evidenced by documentation in the patient record.
* Coordinates with the Care Coordinator to make referral to an appropriate facility, should the ASAM Criteria assessment indicates a need for stabilization services (medical detoxification), inpatient, and residential services.
* Upon completion of the assessment, prepares a written assessment summary that follows the ASAM Criteria Comprehensive Assessment Report outline as described in the scope of work.
* Completes care coordination activities, as needed, with other entities to ensure individual client needs are identified, included in the assessment, and addressed in the Service Plan.

Clinician Duties Include:
Providing outpatient individual, group, and family supportive counseling to clients.
Charts progress, maintains clinical records, and ensures implementation of treatment plans.
Monitors and follows up on client needs, does re-assessments as required or as needed.
Coordinates services as necessary working in collaboration with case managers, Med. Providers, and other clinic staff.
This position requires providing in-home counseling sessions as indicated, although it is a small part of the overall counseling activities.
Services are provided according to all licensure, state, and federal laws, and TERROS Policies and Procedures. May sign off on non-licensed staff's work.

Qualifications
Must possess a Master's degree in a related discipline, i.e. MA, MC, MSW, Arizona behavioral health license (other than LBSW) or eligible for Arizona license from Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Must pass background check in accordance with Terros Health and DCS requirements including, but not limited to, no restraining orders within the last 10 years.
Must pass DCS Central Registry check without any disqualifying events.
Must have ability to perform First Aid or CPR as necessary and appropriate.
Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records - NextGen a plus.
Experience working with diverse populations and bilingual desired (Spanish/ASL - pay differential available).
