Tesco Controls' core business is designing and building process control systems and power solutions for municipalities and industrial clients to keep critical infrastructure operating efficiently. As a full-service Systems Integrator and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), we design, engineer, manufacture, program, and integrate electrical, power, and process control systems for water/wastewater, transportation, power, and renewable energy facilities. We help clients optimize operations, increase overall efficiency, and reduce operating costs. We employ experts in every control discipline. Job Summary:
The candidate shall be responsible for supporting/ leading the development, design, and execution of the Engineering scope of the projects. Typical engineering scope includes selecting process instrumentation, designing control panel layouts, creating wiring drawings, designing power distribution and I/O schematics, developing of Bill of Materials, project documentation, and creating detailed designs for Motor Control Centers (MCC), Panelboard, Switchboard, Switchgear, PLC Control Panels, Network & Communications Panels.
Typical engineering responsibilities include reviewing customer specifications and plans, understanding the project scope, and reviewing the project budget, and schedule. The candidate shall be responsible for timely Engineering deliverables meeting the budget and quality expectations. The candidate shall work collaboratively across different functions such as Project Management, Production, Purchasing, and other Tesco departments.
Essential Functions:
Design complex electrical, controls, and communication equipment and systems to provide automation for water/wastewater industry projects
Interpret customer specifications and plans and translate them into a defined engineering scope and deliverables.
Complete all phases of the engineering process to ensure accurate and timely completion of manufacturing drawings.
Develop detailed engineering documentation including single-line and three-line diagrams, panel elevations, general arrangements, and wiring schematics.
Lead and mentor engineering and designer teams to convert engineering concepts into working schematics.
Responsible for Engineering schedule, including the on-time release of equipment specifications, bills of materials, and customer documentation.
Support the Project Manager to address technical concerns with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide engineering expertise/support during estimation, sales, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and operations.
Provide technical direction, serve as a point of contact or business liaison, prepare briefings for senior management and assist in problem resolution specific to the program/project.
Review Tesco's design tools, procedures, and processes and ensure engineering deliverables are compliant to design standards.
Requirements:
Demonstrated Skills:
Ability to read and understand schematics
Attend formal training programs related to the field to help develop new skills or improve existing skills.
Ability to understand and design all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
Understanding of manufacturing workflow, including planning activities.
Self-motivated, ability to work autonomously and manage workloads to meet assigned deadlines.
Education and Knowledge:
Bachelor of Science degree in ElectricalEngineering (BSEE).
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
Knowledge of electricalengineering design principles and methodologies.
Working and current knowledge of codes and industry standards.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and Adobe Acrobat.
knowledge of AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Electrical.
Experience:
Minimum of 15+ years of experience in electrical and controls design
At least 10 years of experience in designing and analyzing automation systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience in a regulated industry is preferred

Contribute to the development of our flexible end-to-end data acquisition and controls stack (hardware and software) supporting testing across Vast's engineering teams

Vast offers an advanced engineering internship program with hands-on opportunities to design and build space hardware and software. You will play a crucial role in the development of the systems that will be required for the operation of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. We have four engineering internship postings for different areas of focus (Mechanical / Aerospace, Manufacturing, Electrical, Software). Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program from an accredited college or university in electricalengineering, computer engineering, or other related engineering disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:
Application of technical skills outside of the classroom (examples include: extracurricular projects, volunteering, personal projects, laboratory research, or prior internship/work experience)
Proficiency in Circuit Design Software (e.g., Altium, LT Spice, etc)

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision assist in the design and execution of Engineering scope. Using prescribed methods, perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

Essential Functions:
Perform routine engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria
Assist in the review and approval of contractor plans, including goals and objectives, work breakdown structure, detailed scope descriptions, detailed schedules, risk management approach, and budgets
Produce quality work products, which meet or exceed customer expectations, and conform to TESCO standards and procedures
Clear understanding of project requirements and specifications; scope, budget, schedule and expectations set by the Project Engineer and Project Manager
Obtain input from internal sources on jobs that may have similar scope and specifications.
Provide input to others as requested concerning their project needs
Provides technical direction, serves as a point of contact or business liaison, prepares briefings for senior management and assists in problem resolution specific to the program/project
Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new products
Review TESCO's standards and guidelines; stay current and apply them; get peers to review work whenever possible
Complete task assignments within established budgets and schedules
Monitor your own progress against your budget and schedule
Notify Project Engineer and Project Manager of budget and schedule impacts and problems
Explain project specifications in a clear and concise manner
Perform other related and associated duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Project Engineer
Demonstrated Skills
Ability to read and understand schematics
Attend formal training programs, review journals and other publications related to the field help develop new skills or improve existing skills

Education and Knowledge:
