Other functions as required and assigned by supervisor. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 years experience or equivalent work experience in the inspection and/or quality profession. Strong understanding of inspection methods and techniques and understanding and implementation of receiving goods sampling, auditing techniques Basic quality tools - calipers, pin gages, micrometers, visual inspection Must be mechanically proficient including the use of basic hand and power tools. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. * May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate. Qualifications : * High School Diploma/GED * Generally less than 2 years' experience in a related field * Successful ICP Level I written/field exam. * Understanding of Baseline Inspections (Electronic Condition Report) & vehicle grading. * Valid driver's license and safe driving record required. * Good communication and interpersonal skills required. * Strong technical aptitude. * Body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge. * Familiarity with unibody and full-frame vehicles. * Good organizational skills needed. * Ability to multitask, follow directions and take instruction required. * Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods of time. * Ability to bend, stoop, squat or kneel. * Ability to lift and hold at least 10 lbs at waist level for an extended period of time. * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. * Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Preferred * 1 - 3 years of experience in the automobile field (i.e., inspections, body/mechanic shop, etc.) strongly preferred.
