Responsibilities * Maintain and troubleshoot all electronic systems to ensure accurate and repeatable data collection at the track. * Possess strong working knowledge of all car systems to quickly diagnose and resolve issues. * Work with vendors to select and integrate sensors for on-car and test rig applications. * Build and maintain timing stands and trackside equipment. * Design and build test fixtures to support overall vehicle performance. * Design and layout circuit boards for test and pit equipment. * Support the Systems Engineering group with car setup and calibration. * Assist in the setup and maintenance of timing stands and other trackside equipment. * Develop and maintain trackside tools to aid in car calibration and race performance. * Assist in the setup and operation of 2-way radio communication systems. * Manage fuel economy during race weekends, using collected data to determine fuel consumption and provide pit windows to the race strategist. * Participate in engineering meetings, race debriefs, and test reviews to identify development opportunities. * Contribute to development and wind tunnel testing as required. * Take ownership of defined development projects from concept through execution. * Follow technical specifications outlined by technical bulletins and team car build requirements. * Establish and document testing and calibration procedures. * Collaborate with the broader engineering team to ensure effective communication and development. * Take a hands-on approach, driving projects from design to completion. Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred). * Minimum 3.0 GPA. * Motorsports engineering background preferred but not required (IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, WEC, or F1 experience a plus). * Strong knowledge of circuit design, diagnostics, and layout. * Familiarity with basic circuit wiring. * Extensive knowledge of data acquisition, data analysis, and statistical analysis. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. * Coding experience recommended. Desired / Preferred Qualifications * Experience with data acquisition systems (Cosworth, CAN communication). * Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar systems. * Proficiency with MATLAB, LabVIEW, and CAD software (NX, CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks). * Experience with 2-way radio communication systems. * Motorsport wiring experience. * SharePoint knowledge. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Power BI experience desired. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
