Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and 7 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 7 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing advanced 3D design software suites (Catia V5, 3DX, Teamcenter, and visualization tools) to develop concepts, 3D models and drawings to deliver complex Molded Plastic and Sheet Metal commodities. 2. Executing failure avoidance processes utilizing FMA and DFMEA. 3. Implementing 6 Sigma discipline and problem-solving processes, including 8D. 4. Leading resolution of design issues during product launch. 5. Physical and analytical design validation testing and prove outs using CAE, component and vehicle testing, DOE, ANSYS, and Simcenter for iterative design solutions. 6. Using WERS, FEDE, or Catia 3DX/V5 to deliver bill of materials and accurate release data. 7. Designing complex plastic and sheet metal parts, leveraging systems engineering, molding (injection molding, compression molding and blow molding) and sheet metal stamping (Steel and Aluminum).

Product Development Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Allen Park, Michigan). The Safety Assurance for Effective Autonomous Driving Software (SAFE-ADS) department is part of the Global Product Safety, System, and Certification (GPSSC) organization at GM. The Role
The AV Safety Strategy and Assessment team is seeking a technical leader with extensive experience in the full end to end development lifecycle for autonomous vehicle behaviors driven by artificial intelligence & machine learning models. As the AV Behavior and AI Safety Principal Engineer, you will need to stay current on industry best practices and standards and guide the development of GM's AV Behavior Validation and AI safety strategy. This technical leader role requires extensive experience leading the development and implementation of AV Behavior Validation methodologies across a broad range of L4 autonomous features. The Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer with deep expertise in distributed backend systems to join our Mapping Engineering team. You'll serve as a technical leader responsible for designing and building the scalable systems that power ingestion, storage, access, and delivery of autonomous vehicle maps. You'll partner closely with EMs, Staff/Principal ICs, and cross-functional teams to define the architecture and deliver next gen mapping capabilities that scale to national deployments. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong systems thinking, architecture design, and the ability to guide and mentor engineers across teams. What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Architect and implement scalable, reliable, distributed backend systems to support national-scale mapping.
Design and evolve data pipelines and microservices for map ingestion, transformation, storage, and release.
Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects, including defining milestones, aligning stakeholders, and mentoring ICs across functions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Localization, Perception, Simulation, and Offboard teams to define data contracts and ensure system interoperability.
Drive technical excellence by conducting system-level design reviews, mentoring engineers, and setting the standard for code quality, testing, and documentation.
Diagnose and resolve large-scale system issues across services, data pipelines, and production environments.

Minimum Qualifications (Must-Have)
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and operating scalable distributed systems in production.

Competencies:
Design and Application of Mechatronics Systems - Specifies electronic hardware and interconnections that measure and control systems; applies electronic hardware and interconnections in Cummins' products.
Machine Integration and Optimization - Combines various parts or sub-systems into a whole to achieve the output most desired by the customer; applies Cummins' installation requirements using our standard tools, processes and identified best practices to ensure optimization of performance, reliability, cost and quality; analyzes technical issues using proven problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques for rapid resolution.

**Remote:** This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford, or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. **The Role** We are looking for an exceptional and experience **Staff Software Engineer** who is excited about building mobile products across General Motors. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer with expertise in Siemens NX to join our Test Lab Engineering Fixturing Design Team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Design, create, modify, and manage 3D models and 2D drawings to meet fixturing and tooling requirements.
* Support both mechanical components and complete assemblies throughout the development and prototype process.
* This role demands strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment focused on engineering test development and prototyping.
* Manage CAD data within PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) including maintaining version control and documentation of design iterations.
* Ensure designs meet company standards, industry regulations, and manufacturability requirements.
