*Job Summary:*
As a Paint Correction Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and rectifying imperfections in automotive paintwork, such as scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, and other blemishes. Using Dent Wizard's proprietary techniques and tools, including our Paint Defect Correction Kit, you will ensure vehicles achieve a flawless finish that meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

* Travel to customers to conduct thorough assessments to identify paintwork imperfections and determine the most effective correction techniques.
* Perform detailed paint defect correction using machine sanding, buffing, and various paint application methods to achieve a flawless finish.

What You'll Do

Reviews customer claims to verify that they meet Manheim's National Arbitration policies and any account-specific guidelines.
Investigates basic, less complex cases (e.g., late title claims, basic condition report claims, vehicle availability, post-sale inspection fails, mechanical/structural/undisclosed vehicle damage, etc.) or those requiring more prescriptive decision-making.
Interfaces with all departments involved in the complaint (i.e., reconditioning, front office, dealer services, vehicle entry, etc.), including during the fact finding and investigative phases.
Uses appropriate resources to investigate and facilitate relevant inspection, documentation, and communication to ensure appropriate actions are completed to move cases forward or to resolution.
Uses appropriate levels/limits of financial approval authority to resolve cases.
Evaluate claims by obtaining, comparing, evaluating, and validating various forms of information.
Prepares and facilitates communication for resolution via telephone, email, and in-person discussion.
Mediates disputes and negotiates repair and/or pricing of disputed vehicles to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution and to keep vehicles sold.
Monitors and maintains accurate files for each arbitration case, verifying the accuracy of all required documentation, including invoices and settlement agreements.
Engages with supervisor/manager to determine if escalation is required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The Codification and Bill of Materials (CBOM) Organization is an important pillar of the global engineering organization. We are responsible for delivering a high-quality Product Codification, Design- and Manufacturing Bills of Material for all Stellantis platforms, engines and vehicles, from design through the industrialization phase, to our Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing organizations.
The primary role of the Support and Core (SCOR) team is to improve efficiency within the CBOM global organization. There are several areas of focus within the group including project management, process and training, Global Codification Management (GCM) application development, and process and tools referents for multiple codification and BOM systems across three eco-systems.
Our organization is seeking an Operational Dictionary and Core Codification Manager Specialist located in North America. The responsibilities of this role include:
Creation, classification, and maintenance of feature sales codes in GCM system, including full understanding of features and mapping to equivalent codes between eco-system languages (SCL/WPC/STV).
Managing color compatibility restrictions in STV system.
Creation of vehicle families, body models, and initial codification structure (skeleton) in STV.
Responsible for codification of non-product relationships including fleet, Mopar, pricing and sales tracking codes in STV, eventually GCM.
Recommending solutions to vehicle codification managers facing complex product plans. Teaching coding strategy and STV system methodology to ensure accurate results. Over time, also will include GCM system methodology.
Investigating STV data interpretation issues in downstream applications (Vehicle Order Edit, Capacity and Option Planning System, Vehicle Component Pricing System, VBASS, etc.). Determining solution options and advocating for best (not easiest) choice.
Training colleagues and outside users of STV.
Documenting codification methodology, work instructions and best practices for internal use.
Executing a variety of assignments contributing to the successful launch of new GCM codification application.

Inspector:
Identify damage, missing parts and mechanical problems by inspecting all customer vehicles at time of receipt (i.e. interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment, noting any damage or repair to frame, paint or other engine noise, AC/heater operation, radio, navigation system, tire condition, etc.).
Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
Provides accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition to support the processing and sale of client / customer consigned vehicles in lane and on line including but not limited to:

Proper odometer reading and operable function
Parts pricing using Mitchell Collision Estimate Guides

Follows the work instructions provided by client and/or Manheim Inspections using the Manheim Electronic Condition Report Program, Inspection Solution T1 and Mirage Program, or client-instructed paper Condition Reports.

Vehicle Photographer:
Sets up and maintains auction site image booth and/or standard imaging area in accordance with standards.
Sets up lighting and operates camera and ancillary equipment in ways that capture vehicle interior and exterior images and meet requirements relative to focus, clarity, aspect/angles, storage and related quality.
Transfer completed images into vehicle condition report format
May adjust and enhance digital images to meet or exceed quality standards
Ensures that cameras and other imaging equipment is properly maintained and stored
Takes digital photographs of vehicles for condition reports and uploads to company website.
Ensures that all standard required photos are taken and uploaded
Performs self-audits to ensure that images meet required quality standards.
Sets-up, troubleshoots, and resolved technical/equipment issues.
Maintains current awareness of imaging trends and technology advancements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Check In Specialist:
Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer (or provide information via headset to co-worker for data entry) for each vehicle received at the Auction: Vehicle Identification number (VIN) Stock number Dealer identification number Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
Flag "no key" cars.
Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
Report transport damage as needed.
Take digital image of vehicle upon receipt.
Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person who is driving vehicle through the registration/check-in area.
Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
