What to Expect As an Excavator Operator, you will be expected to contribute on job sites in Northern California and Southern California, The SouthWest US, and Pacific NorthWest US. This is a travel-based position for which nearly all work will occur on the road. Job durations will range from 1 to 4 weeks and will be undertaken by a cross functional team of 2 to 3 members handling all trades required to get the work done, together. The crew will remain consistent throughout the job and from job to job allowing for team cohesion and improvement as a group. This team will be expected to push the limits of construction technology and techniques, and as such will have direct feedback contact with design engineers, project managers, and business developers related to the program. A well-qualified applicant will have experience in many aspects of civil and underground utility installation. The role will be asked to work alongside and participate in various trades as well as train new employees and educate other members of the organization about the complexities of construction implementation.
Equipment Operators are responsible for manipulating heavy equipment. Usual duties for this role include performing maintenance checks, implementing safety measures, handling inventories, and removing debris. Essential skills include attention to safety, communication, stamina, accuracy, teamwork, and time management. In-between concrete projects, the candidate will be trained to support Powerpack and solar panel installations.

What You'll Do
* Assess current labor productivity and performance metrics and analyze workforce data to forecast labor needs based on operational demands
* Workforce Planning: Develop and implement labor plans that align with operational goals and budget constraints and collaborate with operations management to ensure optimal staffing levels during peak and off-peak periods
* Collaborate with stakeholder teams like Warehouse Operations, IT Systems Developers, Inventory Control, Packaging Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain teams, and Material Planning to prioritize and maximize operational efficiency of the Warehouse team

What You'll Bring

Expected Compensation
$79,200 - $118,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

The Staff Exterior Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, prototyping, validating, and releasing systems and components for advanced EV vehicle programs. The engineer will work closely with studio designers to develop new design concepts and collaborate with other vehicle engineering teams and cross-functional teams on technical, feasibility, and cost trade-off studies. The engineer will explore creative ideas covering a variety of systems, including fascia, rocker, aero shields, and other trims, as well as front and rear end structures and component integrations, glazing, and wiper/washer systems, to celebrate engineering and aesthetics design possibilities, from the concept phase all the way to manufacturing and quality teams for the launch.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Integrate technical, feasibility, manufacturing, and program requirements into the exterior design and theme development from concept through final production release
Transfer engineering and key regulatory requirements to design, provide feasibility and technical input, and provide limitations feedback
Package exterior systems and components within the vehicle architecture following Class A surface and design directions
Generate concept alternatives and feasible solutions for technically challenging areas in design with functional and program assumptions
Own CAD and BOM for systems and components, deliver system and component design including surface development, structures, datum strategy, attachments, and GD&T
Interpret aerodynamics and CAE simulation, test results, integrate recommendations into exterior design
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure system manufacturing, assembly feasibility, and serviceability. Support vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
4+ years of experience working on production vehicle development and launch
6+ years of experience utilizing CAD (3DX, Catia, NX) collaboratively, 3DX and CATIA preferred
6+ years of experience in exterior systems design, development, release for one of more exterior systems, including trims, glazing, wiper/washer, front end module, structures, etc.
