Enterprise Big Data Solution provides FIS big Data capabilities including large scale data processing, analytics, fraud platforms, machine learning engineering, stream processing and data insights. Enterprise Big Data Solution help maintain and advance cloud data platforms and services to build data products powering our business services and customers.
Job Summary:
Experienced Snowflake Cloud Data Platform Administrator, who will plan, design, develop and implement Snowflake cloud data platform that follows industry best practices.
Snowflake administrator will be integral part of team that is responsible for technical deployments for Snowflake working with internal and external customers.
Snowflake administrator with broad range of skills and experience ranging from security, performance analysis, observability, automation.
What you will be doing
Work in a globally distributed team to provide robust enterprise data platform in Snowflake
Design, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects in supporting the snowflake cloud data platform. Including cost monitoring and optimizations, user security auditing
Implement/support automation for production deployment in Snowflake
Implement Snowflake standards and methodologies for DB security - both infrastructure and app level
Implement/support automation for administering Snowflake - Accounts/Databases and access roles
Implement data sharing /replication - cross cloud/cross region for internal/external clients
Create Snowflake utilization and capacity plan
Propose and implement DB / Snowflake query performance optimizations.
Identify system bottlenecks and recommend solutions
Implement Snowflake user /query log analysis and alerts
Implement data encryption/decryption/masking policies to protect PII/PCI data
Work as admin on Snowflake on AWS i.e., Configuration, Data migration and security
What you bring:
Technical expertise in all aspects of Snowflake
Experience in implementing Snowflake external functions
Experience securing sensitive data PII/PCI data in snowflake
Hands-on experience in administering Snowflake in AWS.
Experience with AWS CLI and Networking
Knowledge of security (SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos, Policies, entitlements etc.)
Experience with architecting and maintaining high availability production systems
Experience with developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations, and alerts
Knowledge of security controls for the public cloud (encryption of data in motion/rest and key management)
Demonstrated proficiency of index design, query plan optimization and analysis required
Hands-on experience in administration of relational Databases, Data Warehouse and Data marts.
Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS alerting/monitoring tools
Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts
Strong development skills in Python or other scripting language
Strong communication and written skills
Experience working collaboratively with broad range of people across different lines of business
Culture of continuous education to keep up to date on ever-evolving Snowflake product enhancement to be an authoritative resource for Snowflake
Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.
Experience & Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of work experience (or) Master's Degree and 3+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
Minimum 3+ years of related experience in Snowflake administration
Minimum 5+ years of Database administration and data engineering
Experience using AWS services
Extensive hands-on experience with SQL
Snowflake Pro certification
