Covid-19 Hiring:

Responsibilities


Utilize advanced testing methodologies to deliver test design, test execution, test library maintenance, and test closure strategies Analyze & monitor the software development processes and methods used to ensure quality Ensure requirements and risks are continually either mitigated or accepted throughout the SDLC Enhance live operations and deployment stability, across both internal and production environments Research, recommend and adopt tools as needed with the goal of increasing test coverage through automation Propose and influence new measures and KPIs to validate and report on software quality Coach others as they develop appropriate knowledge and skills through training, constructive feedback, and mentorship Approach software development from a Grey-box perspective; utilizing established developer toolsets to build custom test scenarios Represent Blizzard through public-facing quality assurance activities Responsible for adhering to department SLAs within project management (i.e. JIRA) and test related tools (i.e. TestRail) Advocate of the user experience through delivery of qualitative reporting Other duties as assigned


Requirements


A minimum of 3 years' experience in software testing Be an expert in one or more software testing methodologies Practical knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, & SQLServer Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and action on data sets and complex workflows Passion for games and software quality

Summary of This Role
Carry out procedures to ensure that all applications under test (AUT) meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Document and work to identify all problems to ensure resolution. Report progress on testing and problem resolution to appropriate parties. Devise improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Perform work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements.

What Part Will You Play?

Assists more experienced peers conduct online, batch and data verification testing (checked for accuracy and inconsistencies after data migration is done) from test scripts in assigned functional area(s) and creates test designs according to project requirements as directed. Demonstrates a general understanding of and applies various types of testing techniques (i.e. positive, negative, regression) to perform test analysis on simple to moderate level project requirements (as defined by the client) and reports issues as appropriate.Assists with analyzing requirements necessary to design testing strategies (testing objective, methods of testing new functions, total time and resources required for the project and the testing environment) for internal/external clients (i.e. technical and functional designs).Becomes familiar with identification and design processes aimed at increased efficiency, performance and reliability (automation, load and performance) as directed. Assists with using automation tools and learns how they improve testing proficiency and accuracy.Assists stakeholders, business, developers and other analysts to develop test plans, conditions and cases (set of inputs, execution preconditions, and expected outcomes developed for a particular objective, such as to exercise a particular program path or to verify compliance with a specific requirement) to be used in testing, and learns to perform test data conditioning and execution of test sets. Begins to build a base knowledge of using multiple environments to validate test conditions and reviews data values while learning the various components of the systems and the applications.Assists in documenting test results and learns documentation techniques to create detailed and accurate defect reports. We are seeking a talented API Card Present Data Testing Analyst and Point of Sale Product Support Engineer with superb technical experience and customer facing skills. The position will provide technical certification and developmental support to point-of-sale API messages for product providers and payment gateways. The API Card Present Data Testing Analyst will be responsible for meeting operational goals, driving issue resolution and exceeding customer expectations. The position will be based at Visa's offices in Austin, TX.

Perform technology partner card present/EMV payment transaction field level validation/testing for assigned projects to ensure data format accuracy per the relevant specifications and defined scope during the certification process.

Conduct project scoping, test script customization/distribution for assigned message level validation projects.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve moderately complex processing, application usage, or business issues during the message level validation/testing process.

Interface with internal Regional/Product/System's Architect teams and POS technology partners to provide excellent customer relations/support during the certification process.

Identify, document and communicate testing/validation results to Regional and POS technology partners. Perform re-tests and regression testing as necessary through the validation/testing process.

Generate weekly reports for regional, product and executive teams for all assigned projects to provide a high-level overview of project timelines, certification status, risks and identified issues/blockers.

Escalate issues to internal Regional, Systems Architect, Product Development, Product Management, and/or Operations teams and manage issue resolution.

Perform network/system diagnostics and transaction research to analyze and resolve endpoint problems in both the test and production environment.
Communicate, monitor, and escalate known issues/tickets through resolution.

Build internal support-related tools documentation and create/edit/distribute customer communications.

Support EMV Level 3 device phase of validation for all supported card brands utilizing the associated test platforms.

Handle multiple assignments, appropriately prioritize work, and provide excellent written and verbal communication

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.
