Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate must have expertise in backend and API test automation, a core qualification for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of complex decision‑engine logic.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
QA Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:
* Develop and maintain automated test frameworks to validate decision logic, eligibility rules, and API behavior across Node.js and Python‑based services.
* Execute comprehensive API and backend automation tests using tools such as pytest, Postman, or REST‑assured to ensure decision accuracy, reliability, and explainability.
* Create and manage high‑quality test data to support scenario coverage, regression testing, and validation of ML‑driven outputs in regulated environments.
* Collaborate with backend, rules, data, and ML teams to embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and ensure production‑ready decisioning performance.
* Test integrations with state machines, action libraries, and ML services to confirm consistent and auditable decision outcomes across workflows.
* Identify edge cases, defects, and behavioral inconsistencies, driving root‑cause analysis and contributing to ongoing quality improvements.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 10+ years of experience in QA automation, backend/API testing, or decision‑engine validation.
* Strong hands‑on experience with API and backend test automation tools (e.g., pytest, Postman, REST‑assured) and CI/CD pipeline integration.
* Expertise in test data management and validating complex decisioning systems-including rules engines, ML‑driven outcomes, and multi‑scenario decision logic.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $56.00 per hour

WebSphere Integration Engineer (Entry)
Purpose of the Position:
To extract functional and technical requirements, document, develop, test and implement interfaces using the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Suite of Products. This includes input to solutions designed by the ESB Architecture team as well as providing ongoing support to the ESB Infrastructure team when appropriate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary duties are to use but not an exhaustive list include the primary tools of WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker, Web Services, Message Queue File Transfer Edition, and to implement interfaces in support of organizations within the U.S. Army Human Resources Command (HRC) environment as well as interfaces with external partners.
The ESB Developer converts requirements within architecture documents into functional and technical specifications.
The ESB Developer will code, test, and implement interfaces based on these specifications.
As needed, the ESB Developer will assist the Infrastructure Team to establish any new ESB product installations for new partners.
The Developer also writes Production Support documents to transition ongoing support to the Infrastructure team.
