The System Test Engineer II develops and executes System Test Plans for small, unmanned air vehicles and missiles and their associated subsystems. Testing encompasses simulator, ground and flight tests and includes logging and analyzing data and documenting test results.
Position Responsibilities
Support developmental test and evaluation of sub-system, model-scale, and full scale testing. Assist the Flight Test Director during flight tests
Determine and communicate subsystem, system and flight test objectives. Develop test cards to verify that those objectives are met
Review System Requirement documents to help ensure requirements are concise and testable
Participate in test and flight readiness reviews, test briefs, and post-test debriefs
Ensure test assets are prepared to support testing, including proper configuration of product hardware and software, writing test cards and procedures, and maintaining test equipment
Process and analyze test data to determine test results. Analyze large test data sets using software tools (MATLAB or Excel)
Capture test activities, fill in test data sheets, and transfer telemetry files to the network. Enter test failures or anomalies in an issue tracking system database. Summarize test activities and results in reports
Determine regression test requirements based on specific sub-system modifications. Develop ad-hoc tests to troubleshoot test failures
Responsible for estimating time required to conduct testing and completing assigned tasks within project schedule

Test engineer job in Camarillo, CA
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Validation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing validation protocols, analyzing test data, and ensuring product and process standards are met. This role requires collaboration with various departments to implement validation testing and resolve any testing anomalies.
Responsibilities
* Consult with management to evaluate customer requirements and study product characteristics to select validation objectives and standards.
* Prepare clear, compliant test protocols for validation or performance testing of new or existing products, equipment, processes, or systems.
* Analyze data from validation tests using statistical tools (DOE, capability analysis) to determine whether results meet required criteria and specifications.
* Maintain technical records within design history files associated with assigned products.
* Collaborate and coordinate with appropriate departments and staff regarding the scheduling or implementation of validation testing.
* Assist in investigations of test anomalies and validation failures.
* Identify nonconformities of product or process standards and offer recommendations for resolving deviations.
* Use databases for tracking test results, validation activities, or validated systems.
* Develop, maintain, or review validation and compliance documentation, including schematics, protocols, and engineering change notices.
* Modify testing methods and revisit test objectives and standards to resolve testing problems.
* Develop test methods, generate and maintain design specifications, protocol & report writing, prototyping, DOE/SPC product optimization, design verification & validation, FMEA, etc.
* Support Product Delivery Teams (PDT), including creating and or reviewing quality documents, participating in Corrective And Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation, and generating or supporting ECR & ECO activities.
* Work with Scientists and Engineers internally and externally to assess and develop appropriate design and manufacturing specifications.
* Maintain accurate sample inventory, status, and study tracking within lab systems.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
* 2-5 years of experience in validation, quality, or laboratory testing in a regulated industry.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulatory guidelines (cGMP, FDA, etc.) preferred.
* Thorough understanding of applicable mathematics, statistical, and scientific practices.
* Thorough understanding of related equipment and the ability to perform equipment modifications.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

System Test Engineer, Sr.
Test engineer job in Moorpark, CA
The Sr. System Test Engineer develops and executes System Test Plans for small, unmanned air vehicles and missiles and their associated subsystems. Testing encompasses simulator, ground and flight tests and includes logging and analyzing data and documenting test results.
Position Responsibilities
* Support and lead developmental test and evaluation of sub-system, model-scale, and full scale testing. Assist the Flight Test Director during flight tests
* Determine and communicate subsystem, system and flight test objectives. Develop test cards to verify that those objectives are met
* Review System Requirement documents to help ensure requirements are concise and testable
* Lead and participate in test and flight readiness reviews, test briefs, and post-test debriefs
* Ensure test assets are prepared to support testing, including the proper configuration of product hardware and software, writing test cards and procedures, and maintaining test equipment
* Process and analyze test data to determine test results. Analyze large test data sets using software tools (MATLAB or Excel)
* Capture test activities, fill in test data sheets, and transfer telemetry files to the network. Enter test failures or anomalies in an issue tracking system database
* Develop System Test Plans, for small unmanned air vehicles and missiles and their associated subsystems, execute simulator and flight tests, and document test results
* Responsible for estimating time required to conduct testing and completing assigned tasks within project schedule
* Work with outside test labs and assist technicians during testing when required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
* Bachelor's degree in related discipline (Software, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace) is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
* Minimum of 8 - 12 years' experience in related industry or projects that include conducting system or flight tests
* Is effective in conversing technically with experts in the fields of test instrumentation and data acquisition
* Skilled at documenting test plans, procedures, and reports; verbally directing UAV Operators and Observers during flight tests; capturing system test requirements; recording test failures and reporting test results
* Position requires 10-30% travel within the Continental U.S.
