The Mobile Source Laboratory Division is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined candidate to fill an Automotive Emission Test Specialist (AETS) I position for the Test Support Unit (TSU). The mission of the TSU is to conduct exhaust emissions testing in support of the California Air Resources Board's vehicle testing programs. The TSU supports the Agency's vehicle testing programs in areas of certification, in-use compliance, regulatory development, enforcement, and emissions inventory and research utilizing test cells for testing light- and medium-duty vehicles, motorcycles, and all-terrain vehicles testing. The AETS I's essential duties include performing fuel drain and fill, evaporative canister pre-conditioning, setting up test equipment, driving vehicles on a dynamometer under various operating conditions, and operating exhaust samplers and analyzers to measure vehicle exhaust emissions. Additionally, an AETS I in the TSU is responsible for maintaining testing equipment, performing quality control checks, and troubleshooting minor equipment problems.

Working Conditions
This position is not currently eligible for telework. The incumbent will be required to report to the position's designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our team! The Senior Analyst will have previous experience with HR/MS instrumentation in a production, laboratory setting. The Senior Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins' Quality Assurance programs and SOP's.

The Senior Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins' Quality Assurance programs and SOP's.

Additionally, the Quality Assurance Engineer I will be directly involved in building and testing production versions of the system. This is a full-time position with hybrid and on-site opportunities available.
For those coming into the position with no Quality Assurance experience but with a CS/CE background, this role provides a different opportunity to leverage one's technical aptitude. The role primarily involves a comprehensive and end-user focused approach to interacting with the software via testing, while still utilizing certain programming skills for automation test development and issue debugging.
Responsibilities:
* Validating low complexity issues (both bugs and features), adding test coverage where appropriate
* Contributing to automated test cases at an introductory level (i.e., small fixes and enhancements to existing tests)
* Participating in testing contributions within the development lifecycle including: validating bug fixes, conduct regression testing, and automation test case development
* Consistently meeting target threshold for regression test suite execution; add manual test cases where appropriate with guidance from Senior Quality Assurance
* Developing and executing test plans that cover all functional requirements, receiving consultation as needed for other applicable areas
* Demonstrating sufficient proficiency in multiple Ignition product areas within the team's scope and adequately test those areas
* Demonstrating autonomy by maintaining progress on assigned tasks and leveraging resources effectively
* Collaborating with the team and department, working with development to better understand features and provide feedback about functionality, as well as effectively using senior resources to improve personal technical skills
* Working to maintain a proficient understanding of the company, our customer base, our software (Ignition) and its purpose
* Documenting and tracking defects using issue tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution
* Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in software testing
* Demonstrating a strong inquisitive nature and attention to detail, especially in identifying or debugging defects
Requirements:
* Education and Training:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
* 1 year of industry experience preferred not required
* Skills:
* Proficiency with at least one well-known programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript)
* Good understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and each of the phases
* Experience interacting with and querying SQL databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, similar)
* Preferred, but not required:
* Familiarity with Scrum/Agile frameworks and key concepts (core values of Agile, sprints, planning/retrospective meetings)
* Familiarity with Windows, Linux (Ubuntu), and mac OS platforms
* Familiarity with source control management systems, such as Git, and common usage (clone and checkout of repositories and specific branches, commits and merge conflicts)

Pay
Based on the Sacramento region, the new hires minimum and maximum target salary for this role is $95k - $105k. This role will be paid hourly.
