Responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing mechanical sub-assemblies and assemblies following standard procedures and quality control guidelines. Includes basic component fabrication and moderate troubleshooting in collaboration with project engineering. Ensures timely completion of production schedules and successful machine deliveries.
Job Duties
• Assemble mechanical components per blueprints and instructions; fabricate or modify simple parts.
• Install pneumatics and perform setup, troubleshooting, timing, and dynamic testing.
• Ensure quality control, maintain documentation, and report defects or safety hazards.
• Collaborate with production management and engineering to improve processes and reduce waste.
• Maintain workplace organization (5S) and adhere to safety standards.
• Support various production tasks and travel occasionally for machine installation and servicing.
• Disassemble machines for shipping and perform other assigned duties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, procedures, Bills of Materials, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.

• Strong verbal and written communication; work independently and in teams.
• Customer-focused with basic math skills; welding is a plus.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED required.
• General computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Outlook; MFGPRO is a plus).

• 5 years using power/hand tools, fabrication machinery, and pneumatic tools.
• 5 years in manufacturing or general labor.

The Mechanical Assembler I - 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) is an entry level position and is responsible for the assembly of simple mechanical seals. Perform a variety of repetitive operations to assemble mechanical seals, products and sub-assemblies. Uses a variety of common hand tools and simple machines. Stores and retrieves materials as required. Must be able to work overtime as required, maintain a positive and focuses attitude, and be willing to support all of the team's goals and objectives.
Job Model: On-Site
All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.
Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.
On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.
A typical day at work would include:

Maintains clean and organized work area in accordance to 5S policies and procedures.

PLC programming and troubleshooting using Allen Bradley RSLogix platforms
Field Service: travel (25%-50%), sometimes on short notice, to service customer needs including startup or repair of equipment. Travel from 2 days to 1 week is common to customer plants in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Travel percentage fluctuates monthly based on customer demands.
