Usually, test operators don't need a college education. The most common degree for test operators is associate degree with 31% graduates, with only 30% test operator graduates earning bachelor's degree. Test operators who decided to graduate from college often finish University of Phoenix or Austin Community College. Some good skills to have in this position include test equipment, hand tools and test procedures.
