* Develop engineering designs focused on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications:

* 1-8 years of experience in water/wastewater design or municipal infrastructure engineering.
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Georgia, or ability to obtain within six months.
* Familiarity with industry codes, design standards, and permitting processes.
* Strong technical writing, organization, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
* Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or hydraulic modeling software such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or InfoWater.
* Experience in municipal or utility infrastructure design and permitting.
* Prior exposure to water and wastewater treatment plant design.
* Understanding of construction administration processes.
* Desire to take on increasing responsibility and grow into a project management role.

* Prolonged periods working on a computer in an office setting.
* Occasional walking, standing, bending, or lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.

Your Role:
* Support/lead permitting activities and manage tasks to for a range of infrastructure, energy, and development projects (e.g., Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Mid-Atlantic area state permits, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Magnuson Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, NEPA, NPDES, etc.)

* Provide senior oversight and guidance regarding stakeholder engagement and overall permitting trajectory
* Secure jurisdictional determinations from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
* Prepare and submit Department of Army applications, including use of the USACE RRS system.
* Manage state and local requirements relevant to CWA 404/401 approvals, including direct engagement with regulators to secure the appropriate environmental permits for federal, state, and local wetland and waterbody impacts permitting.
* Engage with regulatory agencies and clients to facilitate project reviews, pre-application meetings, and compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices within the industry.
* Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
* Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.
* Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

Qualifications:
* Minimum of bachelor's degree in biology, natural resources, environmental science, or a related field.
* 3- to 7-years of experience in environmental compliance and permitting, with a focus on aquatic resources. A master's degree can supplement 2 years of experience if in a relevant field.
* Experience coordinating with state and federal regulatory entities such as USFWS, USACE, GA EPD, and GA WRD.
* Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including NEPA, Clean Water Act Section 404/401, Endangered Species Act, etc.,
* Experience (3+ years) leading field teams to conduct aquatic resource surveys, habitat assessment and other natural resource surveys.
* Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations and permitting processes.
* Demonstrated success in obtaining environmental permits.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Geologist II to be based in our Atlanta, Georgia office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. This position is expected to begin immediately.
The Geologist II will serve as a team member in the field and the office, assisting project and program management with implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water investigative and remediation programs, data analysis, and report preparation.
This is a field-based role comprising approximately 75% fieldwork and 25% office-based work. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about environmental investigation and remediation and will join a large established team conducting environmental assessment and remediation projects.
This position requires excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to work on a range of projects, and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a project team.
Please take note this role will require travel outside of the Atlanta Metropolitan area (from days to weeks) to support projects as needed across the region and the United States.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
* Utilizing various techniques to generate data from remedial or investigative field work. Field work includes but is not limited to soil/groundwater/vapor sampling, soil boring/monitoring well installations with various drilling techniques (i.e., DPT, HSA, sonic, air rotary, mud-rotary, etc.), operations and maintenance of remedial systems, etc.
* Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
* Developing knowledge of job-specific federal, state, and local laws and regulations and assigned job specifications.
* Detecting problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.
* Proposing appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assisting in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
* Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* BA/BS in Geology or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
* Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Perform calculations to analyze and design engineering system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
* Gather information to support design decisions.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Knowledge of, and experience interpreting and applying, building and fire codes and NFPA standards.
* Knowledge of active and passive fire protection systems, including fire suppression systems, fire detection and alarm systems, smoke control systems, fire resistive construction and egress systems.

Education and Experience
Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or other closely related engineering discipline with an emphasis in Fire Protection Engineering coursework.
Four (4) plus years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as those listed above.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) who has passed the fire protection engineering examination administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, or actively working towards obtaining Fire Protection Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.

Your Role: Tetra Tech, Inc. is looking for qualified unexploded ordnance (UXO) Technician III on a part time as needed basis.
Responsibilities: Supervise and perform the on-site demilitarization of munitions of explosive concern (MEC), and handling of demolition materials.
* Prepare an explosives storage plan per all applicable guidance.
* Prepare required UXO munitions response actions and/or range maintenance administrative reports.
* Prepare standard operating procedures for on-site munitions responses and/or for range clearance activities.
