Position Summary: We are seeking a full-time Civil CAD Designer/Drafter to prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D for municipal, industrial, commercial, and federal projects. Essential Job Functions: The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions: * Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage construction drawings * Prepare dimensional drawings, create, and modify base drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D * Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes * Proficient in advanced Autocad functions, including Sheet Set Manager, Xref Manager, Tool Palettes, and Design Center preferred * Prepare project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output * Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion Required Qualifications: * Associate degree in CAD drafting; or a related field from a technical trade school or training through a certified Autodesk Training Program in Civil 3D * A minimum of five (5) years of related CAD and drafting work experience * At least one (1) year of prior experience in consulting and/or DoD/government contracting * At least one (1) year of experience with stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water main design * A valid driver's license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites when required (local and interstate travel required) * Must be able to pass a background screen * Must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Qualifications: * Previous work experience in consulting and/or DoD/government contracting * Familiarity with GIS * Prior experience using A/E/C cad standards Specialized Knowledge Abilities: * AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required * Proficient with design parameters related to ADA design * Experience in civil/site drafting and design for site development and roadways * Familiar with civil construction, civil engineering standards, and materials * Able to generate precise layout drawings from sketches and specifications * Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures * Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar software Physical Requirements: Able to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail. The work environment does not require much physical movement. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit. Work Environment / Environmental Factors: This position is primarily based in a home or office environment, with occasional travel to job sites for site inspections as needed. Pay Transparency: This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US, with a preference for EST and CT time zones. The anticipated pay range for this position is $31-$35 per hour. However, the pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Develop data analysis code to assess hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and/or digital models against their requirements and determine suitability for intended uses in MDS simulations. Research technical papers and identify data pertinent to model VV&A to develop expertise on physical theory and mathematical equations that constitute the models. Establish VV&A evidence by comparing modeled data to referent data for various MDS sensors, threats, or interceptors. Serve as primary point of contact and product integrator for a team effort to include preparation and presenting of evidence plans, products, and reports.
