AECOM has an opening for an entry level Geologist in our Kansas City, MO office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation.
This position is expected to begin in February 2026.
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve preparation of investigation reports.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, and remediation system data; soil logging; and fluid level gauging.
* Oversight of contractors conducting field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations, and utility clearance for intrusive operations.
* Participation in a health and safety team performing inspections, observations, and training.
* Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.

Job Description
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Technician to join our Remediation team in our Kansas City, MO office.
In this role, you will primarily support remedial operations maintenance and monitoring projects at client facilities and field sites. The candidate will ideally have experience in general construction and environmental remediation/sampling and an interest in hands-on mechanical problem solving). Typical project work includes groundwater treatment systems, in situ and ex situ remediation systems, closed landfills, construction oversight with management of contaminated soil, asbestos, and regulated waste, construction oversight of support buildings/facilities, various media sampling (groundwater, vapor, surface water, sediment, and soil), and wastewater treatment. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Performs soil, groundwater, surface water, waste, sediment, air, vapor sampling.
* Performs various operation and maintenance (O&M) and inspection of environmental remediation systems involving extraction of hydrocarbons, impacted vapor, impacted soil, and impacted groundwater.
* Uses field instruments and equipment as necessary to meet health and safety, field sampling, and O&M requirements.
* Other activities may include setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
* Documents all field activities and notes.
* Performs subcontractor oversight.
* Communicates effectively with project team.
* Has a high degree of health and safety awareness.
* Works within defined scopes, schedules and budgets while producing quality work.

**Corporate Governance / Company Secretarial Duties**
+ Maintain corporate records and entity databases for U.S. and international subsidiaries.

+ Assist with applications for new licenses as business expands into new jurisdictions.
**Additional Support**
+ Coordinate with internal legal counsel and external legal advisors as necessary.
+ Support legal team in other administrative or compliance-related tasks, including document management and audits.
+ Coordinate with key internal stakeholders across departments-including Tax, Treasury, and Sales-as needed to ensure alignment and support.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training required.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm, with a focus on corporate governance and corporate licensing.
+ Familiarity with the engineering and construction industry is strongly preferred.
+ Strong understanding of corporate entity structures and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal entity management software (e.g., hCue, CSC, or similar).

**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Enterprise Engineering Systems Manager** to join our Digital and Information Technology team.
This role owns accountability for the delivery of the strategy, roadmap, support, and maintenance of Black & Veatch's engineering systems and desktop applications. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering application ecosystems, their deployment architectures, and delivery of the end-to-end application lifecycle for deployed applications. This leader will coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups to effectively plan, deploy, and maintain solutions which support BV's engineering business process and technology needs.

+ Define and maintain application & technology roadmaps which ensure deployed solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned with vendor lifecycles & the overall BV portfolio strategy.
+ Partner with business, technical, and software/service providers to translate business & technology needs into potential solutions with costs/benefits analysis, achievable project timelines, and BV-standard deployment architectures.
+ Manage relationships with key software providers such as Autodesk, Bentley, Hexagon, AVEVA, Esri, and more to achieve BV business outcomes through vendor solutions and services.
+ Lead and develop a small team responsible for executing work within the portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of work in alignment with business priorities and strategic goals.
+ Provide oversight to IT service providers to ensure engineering systems are continuously available, performant, and supported per business needs, IT policies, and contracted KPIs/SLAs.
+ Collaborate with business/discipline stakeholders to package and deploy application updates to BV workstations which keep engineering client applications current and free of defects or vulnerabilities.
+ Coordinate with business owners, software providers, and BV software procurement teams to ensure applications are continuously rationalized, licenses are right-sized, and contracts renewed.
+ Lead application virtualization strategy for engineering applications deployed in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

**Job Description**
**AECOM** has an opening for an entry level **Geologist** in our **Kansas City, MO** office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation.
_This position is expected to begin in February 2026._
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve preparation of investigation reports.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, and remediation system data; soil logging; and fluid level gauging.
+ Oversight of contractors conducting field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations, and utility clearance for intrusive operations.
+ Participation in a health and safety team performing inspections, observations, and training.
+ Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.
+ Supporting office tasks, including data entry, data analysis, report preparation, and maintenance of a records archive system.
+ Collect and record data and compare results to relevant studies and state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
+ Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. Field work will be required including oversight of subcontractors.

**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
