The Opportunity: Tetra Tech is adding a Renewable Energy Senior Project Managers and Seller/Doers on a national basis to grow our renewable practice and support a variety of projects from concept to completion in a dynamic consulting environment. The Seller/Doers will be involved in client business development to sell and provide a variety of environmental and engineering services that support the development, design, construction, and operation of solar, BESS, transmission, and other renewable energy projects. Services may include but not limited to, due diligence, project feasibility, natural and cultural resource evaluation, regulatory permitting, engineering studies and design. Leadership: * Working closely with Operations Management, Energy Initiative Leads, and other Business Unit Leaders to deliver safe, quality, profitable, and sustainable projects, and services for our clients. * Serve as Senior Project Manager or Technical Advisor where you will manage technical projects, engage with clients to identify new work opportunities, prepare proposals, and cost estimates, establish, and formulate technical approaches, and direct project teams. * Develop a team of multi-discipline staff through coaching and mentoring to expand our renewable energy services, providing competitive and profitable services and projects. * Direct and manage marketing and business development within the Renewable Energy (solar and BESS) practices through collaboration and building intercompany relations. * Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional, safety standards, practices, codes. * Lead and support the development of engineering technical standards, educational materials, and templates. * Provide leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. Qualifications: * Possess a Bachelor's degree but preferably a graduate degree in environmental sciences, urban/regional planning, environmental policy, environmental studies, engineering, and/or related field. * Minimum of 10+ years of experience, with more experience preferred, with account management, business development, environmental assessments and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance/permitting in the US. * Must have existing client relationships in the solar PV, and BESS and/or renewable energy market and a proven track record of winning new work. * Working knowledge of all aspects of planning, permitting, design and construction related to renewable energy generation facilities. * Proven success in providing on leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. * Efficient time management -handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines. * Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational teambuilding skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations. * Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence. * Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives. * Experience preparing and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary. * Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget. * Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program teams, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance. * Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills to convey technical information to clients and business and financial reports to management. * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. * Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines. * Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. The primary duties of this position include all aspects of engineering, project management, project pursuits, and client relationship management for projects primarily focused on the municipal solid waste (MSW), coal combustion residual (CCR), industrial waste, and remediation industries, with an emphasis on system planning, engineering analysis, cost estimating, design, construction management, pollution control systems, and permitting/regulatory compliance. Specific duties will include business development, proposal development, planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of waste systems, storm water controls, groundwater monitoring and remediation networks, leachate management systems, landfill gas collection and control systems, and site layout/infrastructure elements (utilities, roads, support buildings, soil borrow areas, etc.). The Environmental Project Manager will function as a lead project designer, engineer of record, and project manager on mid-size to large projects, and is expected to demonstrate a history of progressive experience effectively leading similar scale projects. This person will be responsible for assisting team leadership in sustaining and growing client relationships and organizing and contributing to overall business development opportunities. A core component of this will be identifying upcoming project opportunities and participating in the project pursuit and proposal development, including developing scopes of work and budgets. Primary Responsibilities The primary duties of the Environmental Project Manager are to conduct, supervise or direct a multitude of waste and remediation engineering projects. In this role, we'll count on you to: * Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff. * Establish client relations and be involved in business development, marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. * Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule. * Implement QA/QC procedures. * Work on diverse remedial engineering projects that with a wide range of contaminants (VOCs/SVOCs/metals/PCBs/ NAPL) in all types of media (soil/groundwater/sediment/bedrock/abandoned mines, etc.) utilizing innovative remedial technologies (P&T/removal/containment/dredging/ISS/chemical oxidation/bioremediation/capping). * Lead team of staff engineers in preparation of design deliverables including engineering design reports, construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates and construction schedules with support from HDR's national practice leads. * Participate in meetings with clients and regulatory agencies to resolve technical issues and negotiate remedial actions. * Will also serve as a consultant and supervisor of waste and remedial construction management projects as needed. * Work independently on technical tasks involving data analysis, interpreting results, and preparing technical reports, plans and specifications. * Delegate and supervise junior engineers on waste and remediation design components and staff of professionals and technicians on remedial investigations. * Train and mentor personnel as established by strategic plans. Preferred Qualifications * A minimum of 10 years of related experience required. * MSW/CCR facility highly preferred. * Proven leadership and Project Management skills required. * Demonstrated understanding of client relationship management and evidence of experience interacting directly with clients higher preferred. * Proficient with Microsoft Office. Your Opportunity We are looking for an experienced dual US and Canadian Global Mobility Consultant (18-month contract) to join our passionate, collaborative and results-driven team. As part of the HR Talent Services team of subject matter experts focused on employee experience, you will work closely with Stantec's Talent Acquisition Team, external immigration advisor, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to support Stantec's North American Immigration Practice. Your Responsibilities Oversee and manage the day-to-day administration of US and Canadian employment-based immigration requirements and petitions. Work closely with the external immigration service partner on the strategy and details for all cases and associated employer-sponsored petitions. Communicate to foreign nationals regarding all stages of their non-immigrant and immigrant status (including documentation, strategy, and case progression). Oversee and ensure that deadlines are met for the filing of immigration extension processes and commencement of permanent residence processes. Act as a liaison between the external immigration service partner, foreign national employees, human resources, and managers to provide accurate and appropriate information and guidance.
