Your Role
In this position, you will play a key role in the commissioning process for assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining pre-functional and functional checklists.
* Conducting field functional testing and performing on-site observations.

**Pay Range:**

Tetra Tech SWW has three openings for on-call field data collectors to support our Diamond Bar, California office. The position offers opportunities to work within a large international firm on many exciting projects with an environmental focus. Our business unit focuses primarily on strategic planning, design, construction, permitting, regulatory compliance, and program implementation for solid waste management programs and projects. This position will provide opportunities to work on projects that focus on waste reduction, reuse and reduction planning, circularity and sustainability in waste management, alternative technologies to landfilling, green renewable energy projects, food waste prevention and reduction, waste characterization, and solid waste facility and collection program development. The successful candidate will become part of a team that will execute projects locally and internationally that make a difference in the communities served and the environment.
Tetra Tech is looking to hire on-call field data collectors to assist with waste characterization (sorting) studies locally in Los Angeles County with the possibility of out-of-state characterizations in Colorado and Hawaii. The pay scale for this position is $25-$28 an hour, based on qualifications and experience.

* Sorting through waste and categorizing the material into specific categories

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will lead the continued expansion and performance of the Orange and San Diego offices.

* Ability to learn general gas, soil, and air sampling techniques including applicable environmental and health & safety regulations and regulatory requirements
* Ability to be familiar with operation and maintenance techniques for landfill gas and landfill fluids collection systems as well as landfill gas data, data processing techniques, and databases
* Ability to create professional business documents (letters, reports, memoranda, etc.)
* Proficient in the use of a PC, specifically Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Position Summary:
The Process Engineer - Project Manager will oversee planning, design, and delivery of advanced water and wastewater treatment projects. This position requires strong technical insight, client management experience, and proven ability to lead complex programs from concept through construction.
