Your Role:
* Carry out duties with a primary focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications:
Essential Education:
* Electrical or Mechanical experience of at least four years.
* If entry-level, provide proof of Wind Technician Certification from an accredited Wind Academy or equivalent Trade School.
Requirements:
* Possess excellent electrical and mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of turbine-related machinery and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
* Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for protection of people, property, and institutions.
* Willing to learn and progress into a stronger role, such as troubleshooting, commissioning or serving as lead technician on site.
* Any experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower on platforms welcomed, including Solar/Off-shore experience.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, manuals.
* Fluent English verbal and written communications skills are required.
* Must have current valid driver's license and fit-to-drive record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record.
* Ability to pass a criminal background check (project/client dependent and you will be notified if needed).
* Able to travel up to 90% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
* Capable of lifting at least 40-100 lbs.
* Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting items overhead.
* Capable of climbing a wind tower up to 400 ft in height up to three times daily.

**Required Qualifications**

+ A variety of experience is required, however extensive experience in transmission, and substation projects is desired (i.e. not the vast majority in distribution).

+ Solid understanding of core components of electric utility technical systems, project flows, and operational processes.

**Pay Range:**

AECOM has an opening for an entry level Geologist in our San Diego, Orange or Westlake Village, California office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation.
This position is expected to begin in Spring 2026.
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve the preparation of investigation reports.
Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. Field work will be required, including oversight of subcontractors.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Geological Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry and/or closely related field.

Ability to understand and supervise advancement of soil borings and installation of monitoring wells.
Ability to demonstrate a primary technical role in multiple site characterization, subsurface investigation and remediation projects at various client sites.

Selected candidate will be required to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training or annual refresher class, if needed.

Key Responsibilities
May supervise a Project Controls team in effort to maintain schedules, cost controls, forecasting and Change management in all level reporting.
Coach, monitor, and assist project controls team for various project assignments.
Review outstanding tasks with team members and update priority list and/or projects and/or clients with any changes.
Assist Project Management Team with project setup and execution.
Effectively communicate the results of budget, cost and schedule analyses with PM and other project leaders. Identify issues, successes, and assist in developing project recovery plans when required.
Conduct review sessions on project status with project management and/or client and highlight adverse schedule and cost variances for corrective actions.
Ensure that all Project Controls activities are in accordance with set Project specifications and Statement of Work, including preparation and review of schedules, cost reports, cash flow and variance analysis.
Lead meetings with internal project teams, Project Approvers, Finance, and Accounting.
Attend team meetings to help in resolving issues, review progress reports and ensure assignment of new tasks.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators, such as earned value, cost, and schedule performance, estimate to completion, and project end dates.
Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures. Maintains tracking database to ensure that subcontractor funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures.
Read and understand client contracts and subcontracts, particularly related to scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Coordinate with project management team to ensure all procedures are in place to meet contractual requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Data Science or Finance with 4 Years of relevant experience in project controls and/or data analytics.
Due to the nature of the project, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working with engineering, construction management, or related field.
Detailed knowledge of project planning and scheduling methods, practices, and earned value.
Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
P6 Scheduling software skills
Experience in resident engineering, construction management, project management, engineering, scheduling, and related fields.
Experience working in a time-sensitive environment with direct client interface and high-level accountability.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description
AECOM has an opening for an entry level Geologist in our San Diego, Orange or Westlake Village, California office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation.
This position is expected to begin in Spring 2026.
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve the preparation of investigation reports.
Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. Field work will be required, including oversight of subcontractors.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Geological Science, Environmental Science, Chemistry and/or closely related field.
Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to understand and supervise advancement of soil borings and installation of monitoring wells.
Ability to demonstrate a primary technical role in multiple site characterization, subsurface investigation and remediation projects at various client sites.
Understand and assist with site conceptual models.
Collect and evaluate environmental data in field and office settings.
Prepare investigation reports and drawings.
Possesses technical report writing skills.
Independent field work and leadership of field teams.
Contractor oversight.
Selected candidate will be required to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training or annual refresher class, if needed.
Selected Candidate will also receive First Aid/CPR training and AECOM specific training.
Learn and develop a keen understanding of hazard recognition, and environmental investigation or remediation.
Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs, MS Word and MS Excel.
Ability to travel up to 80% to various job sites regionally.
Additional Information

Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.
