The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment that provides career growth opportunities within AECOM's Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) Southeast Team. This position will consist of both in-person and virtual (telework) work environments and will include performing environmental impact assessments, marine and terrestrial wetland delineations and functional assessments, protected species surveys, protected upland habitat surveys, stormwater inspections, environmental permitting, and technical report writing. Our EPP Southeast team primarily works on projects in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting the lead Biologist/Scientist in performing wetland, plants and wildlife, protected upland, intertidal and nearshore marine, and other ecological surveys.
* Assisting ecological leads with processing field data and development/originating ecological assessment reports and utilization of equipment such as tablets and GPS units.
* Assisting with coordination of various governmental agencies regarding ecological survey protocols, reporting standards, endangered and threatened species coordination, or compliance with environmental permit and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

* Conduct visual inspections of drainage facilities

Qualifications

Our Tampa office has an opportunity available for a Driller's Assistant.
A driller assistant will assist the crew chief in solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling techniques. The assistant will help move, set up and operate drilling rigs and related equipment to drill holes for geotechnical exploration test borings. Site investigation/geotechnical drilling is done to determine the soil characteristics on construction sites. Work is outdoors. The work is generally physically demanding. However, safety is Ardaman's priority and we are proud of our safety record.

* Assist in drilling operations.
* Expedite field supplies.
* Perform duties at multiple job sites.
* Perform yard duties at direction of supervisor.

* Damage Assessments: Must be proficient and have a high degree of knowledge on how to use Xactimate to accurately structure POLs to provide adequate compensation for claimants to rebuild. May have experience in insurance claims adjusting. Must be proficient in assessing property and fire-related and flood-related damage accurately, which involves understanding the extent of damage, the required repairs, required documentation, and associated costs.
* Use of Technology: Proficiency in using administrative software, claims management software, databases, and other technology tools that facilitate claim processing, documentation, and communication.

Qualifications:
* Candidates require a minimum of two years of combined experience in damage assessments or insurance claims adjusting, in a similar role and a high school diploma.
* Experience using Xactimate and holding at least a Level 2 Xactimate certification is required.
* Licensed NFIP adjuster in the State of Florida is required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work both in a team environment and independently.
* Strong organization skills, be comfortable interacting with clients, have a flexible style, and be able to immediately adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong computer skills, knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and the ability to learn new products are needed.
* Ability to adapt to different work environments, which will consist of travel (air, train, and car) and work in post-disaster conditions.
* Must be willing to work on-site at a client's place of business. Must be available for short-term travel to support on-site client needs and extended deployment (e.g., 90+ days) to address client response and long-term recovery needs following emergencies and major disasters
Additional Considerations:
This position supports Tetra Tech clients in the response and recovery phase of a disaster. Though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites, all positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions. Staff are expected to be committed for the duration of the assignment.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater projects for a variety of clients.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources or in another related field and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

A driller trainee will assist the crew chief in solid auger and rotary drilling techniques. The trainee will help move, set up and operate drill rigs and related equipment to drill test borings for geotechnical engineering studies. Site investigation/geotechnical drilling is done to determine the soil characteristics on sites to be developed as buildings, roadways and bridges. Work is outdoors.
