Responsibilities:
The CAD Technician will play a key role in preparing submittal documents for projects in Southeastern Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic Region. The individual will work with Project Manager and Project Engineers to prepare construction documents for land development, stormwater, utility infrastructure, and environmental projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Major duties/responsibilities of the position include:
* Prepare complete construction documents, including plan, section, and detail drawings.
* Coordinate with other disciplines, including but not limited to structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
* Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with team members across disciplines and offices.
* Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD standards and styles.
* Ability to create layouts from process and instrumentation diagrams, including structural and architectural layouts.
* Consult with clients and members of the design and construction teams to discuss specifications.
* QAQC Technical Drafts to required Standards.
* Presenting design drafts for clients and team members to assess
* Reviewing, documenting, and providing responses to plan set review comments and revisions.
* Creating models of proposed designs, either 2D or 3D, using CAD software and integrating to GIS and modeling software used by Civil Engineering team members.
* Self-perform, monitor, and supervise plan set production and completions.
* Maintain, direct, and verify CADD file management standards for the department that align with project stakeholder requirements.
* Meet with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings.
* Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
* Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
* Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
* Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma
* 8-15 years of experience of progressive Civil CADD or similar.
* Require advance skills in AutoDesk Civil3D and AutoDesk Extensions.
* Require Capability to train junior staff on AutoDesk C3D and Extensions.
* Require drafting and design experience that includes, but is not limited: land development, water distribution, wastewater and stormwater conveyance, force main, pump stations, stormwater control measures, erosion and sediment control, environmental permitting figures, quantity estimating and take-offs.
* Conduct work in time sensitive and cost effective manner.
* Intermediate Math Skills: Algebra and Geometry
* Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 25%.

Defines project parameters and appropriate data collection methods. Completes survey field data review and post-processing activities.
Performs and assists in calculations, data collection, upload processes, data compilation, drafting and preparation of project deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center and ESRI software platforms.
QA/QC and processes information received from field and outside sources.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Work under minimal supervision with broad guidelines, to assign, review, and evaluate the performance of new project orders; directing interdisciplinary project teams as needed to ensure project needs are met.

* Lead credit analysis of a variety of BMPs for TMDL Credit using regulatory guidance.
* Assist in the development of TMDL Action Plans, stormwater master plans, and resilience planning.
* Oversee the inspection of BMPs, municipal facilities, and outfalls.
* Lead field assessments for water quality studies, watershed walkovers, stream assessments, and other projects.
* Attend and help moderate daytime and evening public outreach meetings.
* Conduct peer and quality reviews on applicable projects.
* Mentor/supervise junior staff and promote career development.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Must have a high attention to detail, strength in time management and organizational skills, and good written and oral communication.
* Strong project management credentials, including but not limited to scoping, establishing schedules, project plan development, and routine tracking/reporting throughout project implementation.
* Proven experience successfully executing technical design tasks and driving project delivery efforts of a team, including plan preparation in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
* Knowledge of Virginia Erosion Control and Stormwater Management Program.
* Knowledge of Virginia regulations.

* Experience with stormwater pump station design not required, but an added value.
* Ability to travel locally on short notice (in and around Virginia).

* Ability to present to both small and large groups on a wide range of projects.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Your Opportunity
Stantec is currently seeking Mid and Senior Level Regulatory Compliance Inspectors to provide technical support on Transportation projects. This position will be part of Stantec's Environmental Services team that provides the full range of expertise needed to address a variety of permitting, approval and compliance requirements for land disturbing associated with Virginia Department of Transportation projects, and other Virginia transportation authorities and locality project needs. Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform ESC, SWPPP and VWP inspections for sensitive transportation projects and high-profile clients.
- Provides technical expertise on environmental compliance for construction activities operations.
- Documents prescribed work is in compliance with permit conditions, plans, contract documents, and environmental laws and regulations.
- Manage VPDES/VWP projects and support staff to maintain transportation project compliance.
- Communicate and collaborate with the client representatives, contractors, agency personnel, and other Environmental/Regulatory Specialists to help ensure project compliance.
- Interpreting and applying state and federal environmental laws, regulations, policies, and best management practices.
- Carry out project work within agreed time-frames and on budget.
- Assist in the creation of technical documents in support of regulatory submissions, including permit applications, SWPPP and compliance reporting and summaries.
- Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, standards and guidelines in the execution of all work and coordinate with HSE professionals during the execution of all phases of project planning and implementation.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience in agency permit compliance, enforcement procedures, violations, and their resolution.
- Strong technical writing skills, effective communication, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations and permitting requirements as they pertain to wetlands, natural resources, and cultural resources.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to independently create and work within budgets, manage time, and schedule work.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with VPDES/SWPPP, permitting, SWPPP, pollution prevention, technical reporting, land disturbing activities, wetland and streams issues, and environmental permit compliance with an emphasis on Transportation work.
- VDOT's VSMP, ESCCC, Environmental, and MS4 Programs including C-107 process.
- Certification as a VA DEQ ESC/SWM Inspector.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

What You'll Be Doing:

BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (or equivalent construction related work experience)

Experience in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), such as Autodesk Revit

AECOM
is seeking a Geologist II to be based in our Glen Allen, VA OR Virginia Beach, VA office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. This position is expected to begin immediately.
The Geologist III will serve as a team member in the office and the field, assisting project and program management with design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment, soil gas, and surface water investigative and remediation programs, data analysis, and report preparation.
The role will be responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project-specific objectives and policies. The department is involved in many on-going efforts and continue to utilize top talent to exceed performance expectations.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet client needs on schedule and within budget.
Utilize various techniques to generate data from remedial or investigative field work. Field work includes but is not limited soil/groundwater/vapor sampling, soil boring/monitoring well installations with various drilling techniques (i.e., DPT, HSA, sonic, air rotary, mud-rotary, etc.), operations and maintenance of remedial systems, etc.
Record and manage data in EQuIS (or similar) database

Work independently or with minimal direction to prepare draft technical documents.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS in Geology, Environmental Science or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Remediation experience is required

Position Summary

- Responsible for assisting in developing Bid Packages and defining Scopes of Work under the supervision of the Director of Construction/President or Project Manager.
- Responsible for overseeing total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budgets and schedule.
- Responsible for verifying quality assurance and control are being followed by PGL on-site personnel (quality procedures and forms are being properly utilized).
- Plans, coordinates and/or supervises field activities of all PGL personnel on assigned projects. Authorizes/approves all project personnel transactions (expense reports, etc.), purchase requisitions, change request, etc., under supervision of Director of Construction/President or Project Manager.
- Ensures all field personnel adhere to all company, client and project policies, procedures, standards, etc. (verifies all PGL personnel are properly trained).
- Maintains official project log and documentation files for all projects.
- Visits job sites regularly as required for training, job audits, meetings, etc.
- Verifies/approves punch list and final inspections are performed and correct.
- Monitors manpower and budget requirements in collaboration with appropriate project management personnel to anticipate the need for on-site personnel changes.

Your Key Responsibilities
