Job Description
Purpose:
The Instructional Designer II will be responsible for working with the SME to develop course content based on the following process: needs assessment, identification of learning objectives/competencies, course outline development, storyboarding, content creation (narrative and presentation), formative assessment and evaluation. Ensure completeness of course elements and confirm alignment of course content to the approved course outline. Develop and/or maintain systems to ensure quality, productivity as well as consistency across content. Work with team to assess course performance to determine return-on-investment and future opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* Develop a deep understanding of the manufacturing professional education course portfolio
* Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem. Taking ownership of issues and following them through to completion.
* Present ideas and concepts to both internal and external stakeholders and clients
* Listen to and/or take notes during client interviews, review documents to gather context on the business' need, learner needs to fully understand goal of project.
* Contribute to designing a learner-centric solution to those needs whether it be a single workshop or tool, a series of solutions or a multi-part certification and/or certificate program.
* Listen to and take notes during subject matter experts (SMEs) interviews or conduct secondary research to supplement your knowledge to when building a solution's design.
* Own the build of slides, writing scenarios, cases, detailed facilitator notes or video script, measurement tools and secure materials to develop the design from start to finish.
* Actively collect feedback from learners, clients and the project team during and after a design to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with the client services & broader learning and development (i.e. editors, graphic designers) teams on the development of the training.
* Make recommendations for enhancements and/or revisions of course materials, delivery methods, and instructional practices. Integrate feedback into training materials and delivery for continuous improvement.
* Conduct initial needs assessment and content analysis as part of the collaboration with industry and/or SMEs.
* Author original content and modify existing materials in partnership with SMEs.
* Create design documents (course outlines, storyboards, design mockups, etc.) to guide course development process. Design successful assessments and evaluation methods. Present documentation for evaluation decisions.
* Provide input on the solution's design or help support its delivery, as needed.
* This position may require direct engagement with minors and youth during program activities. The employee is expected to fully adhere to all university policies and state regulations pertaining to the safety and protection of minors.

What is needed:
* Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

What is helpful:
* Experience and demonstrated success in writing and building materials for unique adult learning and workforce development solutions across modalities - face-to-face, live-virtual, presentation capture, self-directed/asynchronous, etc.
* Experience working with SMEs to create effective adult learning solutions preferably in engineering or other technical fields.
* Prior experience in courses or learning on Instructional Design specifically with wire framing, storyboarding, ID tools, file management, etc.
* Experience in working projects using Project Management concepts and effectively prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines and work objectives.
* Experience with learning management systems (prefer Canvas).

* Spanish speaking and/or experience creating Spanish translated content preferred

Job Description
Purpose:
The Graduate Academic Advisor III, under general supervision, advises students concerning their educational and/or career goals, academic requirements, and related personal concerns; connects students with appropriate campus resources, assists with problem-solving, and supports student success and retention; manages student records, develops advising materials, and may assist with coordinating events; contributes to the development of advising policies, evaluates practices, and implements strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of graduate advising and student services.
Responsibilities:
* Serves as the primary graduate academic advisor for mechanical engineering Ph.D. students. Meets and corresponds with students to provide academic advice and guidance, ensuring compliance with university and departmental regulations.
* Refers students to appropriate campus resources and departments.
* Assists international students with International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) processes, electronic forms, etc.
* Reviews and approves graduate degree plans, assists students with adds, drops, withdrawals, changes of curriculum, and other academic processes.

Purpose:
The Chief Information Security Officer position should be curious, analytical, employ creative thinking and be passionate about cybersecurity, governance, risk and compliance, continuous improvement, and solve challenging security problems in a progressive and dynamic environment. The Chief Information Security Officer is expected to conduct themselves with the highest level of integrity, have a strong moral compass, continuously develop and improve professional skills, and effectively work with leadership, partners, directors, end users, and stakeholders. This position will ensure the maturity and sustainability of the agency's security program which has the ultimate goal of protecting the information resources supporting research, workforce development, and other business objectives. This position will also routinely collaborate with top agency and system officials to navigate complex security scenarios and incidents.
Responsibilities:
* Sets IT security policy and procedures to ensure network security, access control, physical security, application development, and management appropriately meet institutional, Federal, State, and industry regulatory requirements.
* Communicates to the executive team, Board of Regents, and TAMUS members.
* Collaborates with TAMUS members to identify and execute IT security initiatives.
* Develops, communicates, supports, and manages compliance with IT security policies and internal audits.
* Ensures adoption and implementation of appropriate IT policies including security, processes, State, and Federal regulations, as well as TAMUS rules and procedures. -Communicates with the public, employees, faculty, and staff on security procedures, policy changes, and any security events that occur throughout TAMUS.
* Provides leadership for IT security to the agency executive teams.
* Participates in industry research, workshops, and other related continuing education activities to ensure that policies and procedures remain current
* Effectively support agency security needs, as well as position TAMUS to be protected against future concerns and developments.
* Assemble and publish reports with security metrics.
* Coordinate litigation hold and electronic information preservation activities.
* Participate in IT service team meetings and related committees.
* Coordinate risk assessment activities with the agency's risk and compliance staff and IT staff.
* Ensures each agency completes and submits required reports to the State and System on time.
* Assess the progress and maturity of each agency's security plan annually. Works to continually mature security practices.
* Coordinates technology related forensic investigations for cybersecurity and related events.
* Work with IT staff to develop standard operating procedures for implementing security controls.
* Write, develop, implement, and maintain the agency Written Information Security & Privacy Plans.
* Assist agency CIO's in maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and Risk Management Plans (RMP).
* Work with researchers, in collaboration with the Research Security Office, to develop strategies to meet and maintain compliance with security requirements.
* Coordinate vulnerability management activities with IT staff and assessing units.
* Work with embedded security analysts within each Engineering agency.
* Serve as the named Chief Information Security Officer of record with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) for each Engineering agency.

* Engage with the Texas A&M System Cybersecurity Operations and local information technology staff to identify, investigate, and respond to intrusions and security incidents.

Purpose:
The Research Engineer II will perform research in the area of Materials Science and Engineering, sustainability assessment.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct sustainability assessment, including life cycle assessment, of solar cell production and recycling.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of results and report results to research team.
* Contribute to preparation and submission of a journal paper summarizing the findings of this research.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
