What We Want
As a Research Economist, you will be at the forefront of conducting economic analysis related to real estate for the State of Texas, producing insightful reports, and sharing your findings through engaging articles and presentations. Under the guidance of the research director, you will delve into the Texas economy and real estate markets, developing expertise in finance and economics. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
PhD in real estate, economics, agriculture, economics or business administration.
Seven years teaching, research or equivalent experience at the university level.

Proven ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences in industry, academics and government via written articles and oral presentations.
Experience with analytical software such as R, Python, or others.
Ability to travel in-state to perform speaking duties.

More than six years of applied economic analysis in housing or commercial real estate economics, with industry experience.
Responsibilities
Research and Analysis- Performs as a researcher, under guidance of the research director, in the unit with a focus on the Texas economy and real estate markets. Addresses general economic and market conditions and develops expertise in niche residential assets including multifamily, short and long-term single-family rentals, and manufactured housing. Defines data needs. Utilizes data and other resources to design and conduct research projects. Evaluates, analyzes and develops economic models to interpret findings. Develops standardized, repeatable reports of trends and analysis of economic activity. Stays abreast of the latest and most appropriate research methodologies and applies best practices. Implements high level of integrity in data collection and maintenance. Maintains objectivity and neutrality in all aspects of research. Prepares reports of findings. Reviews and comments on technical accuracy of manuscripts and research proposals. Stays informed of economic conditions in financial and real estate markets.
Research Communication and Reporting- Disseminates findings through written articles, oral presentations, media interviews, and other means. Writes technical and industry articles on research findings, data search and processing, econometric-statistical analysis, and forecasting for publication in Center print and online outlets. Coordinates with unit editorial staff to create articles and oral presentations of findings for a wide array of audiences, such as state, industry, municipalities and individuals. Responds to requests from external constituencies with expert information.
Program Planning and Coordination- Collaborates with other researchers on projects as needed. Participates in scheduled research staff meetings. Assists research director to identify and define research projects and resource requirements. Plans and participates in relevant Center seminars. Develops other projects as assigned.
External Liaison- Develops and maintains relationships with recognized institutions and organizations in the real estate industry in Texas to expand the Center's public exposure and to foster collaborative efforts.

Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Assistant or Associate Professor. The breakdown of effort for this position is research (60%), teaching (30%), and service (10%). GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate is expected to develop and lead an independent, high-impact, extramurally funded, and internationally recognized research program relevant to the anticipation, identification, mitigation, description, and/or management of threats to agricultural biosecurity. Candidates with background in any discipline applicable to the development of such a program, including but not limited to disease and pest management, computational biology, risk assessment, epidemiological modeling, diagnostics, actuarial sciences, or microbiology are encouraged to apply. Potential research emphases for the position include origins and movement of microbial pathogens, robust microbial forensics methods and technologies, disease dynamics and epidemiology of emergent and novel pathogens, and computational applications such as surveillance and modeling, digital twin systems, and threat detection. Additional responsibilities will include teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses, chairing and serving on graduate committees, and service to the department, university, and the profession. The Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology (PLPM) hosts undergraduate programs in Bioenvironmental Sciences and Environmental Studies and a graduate program in Plant Pathology. The department also includes faculty in the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Centers located across Texas. Qualifications
A Ph.D. in an area including but not limited to genetics, genomics, biology, ecology, entomology, microbiology, plant pathology, soil science, crop science, or computational biology. The Executive Assistant and Dedman College Scholar (DCS) Coordinator provides high-level administrative and programmatic support to the Dean and Assistant Dean of Recruitment of Dedman College at SMU. This role manages complex calendars, coordinates travel, assists with event planning, and serves as the primary point of contact for both internal and external inquiries. The Assistant Director of Video Production Engineering supports the technical operations of all live broadcasts, in-venue videoboard shows, and AV systems across SMU Athletics.
Reporting to the Director of Video Production Engineering, this position assists in maintaining and troubleshooting SMPTE 2110 IP-based systems, supports gameday setup and execution, and provides hands-on engineering for both control room and venue systems.
The role contributes to the delivery of reliable, high-quality productions and helps ensure that all athletic venues are technically game-ready.
Essential Functions:
* Assist with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of broadcast systems during ESPN/ACCN broadcasts and in-venue shows. Support camera signal flow (including SMPTE fiber), replay, intercom, transmission, and control systems during live events. Perform RCP prep, white balance, and camera patching under supervision.
* Maintain and test AV systems and production equipment in all athletic venues and control rooms. This includes PTZ cameras, broadcast cameras, CCUs, control panels, videoboards, fiber, and associated infrastructure. Help with routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
* Support IP-based video and audio routing systems (SMPTE 2110), frame syncs, and timing equipment. Assist in troubleshooting production network issues and participate in configuration tasks under direction from the Director of Engineering.
* Support director of engineering, freelance engineers, and game day crews, ensuring smooth system handoff and operation. Serve as a point of contact for visiting TV trucks and ensure correct signal routing, camera patches, and intercom integration as needed.

Qualifications
* Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering or a closely related field. Essential Functions:

* Maintains a computer-based log of all police activities. They document service calls and radio communications from officers in the CAD system and use the system to determine whether an officer has had prior interactions with a specific individual or vehicle. Additional responsibilities include submitting reports and updating reference manual.
* Responsible for managing multiple computer systems, including a CCTV network with more than 2,000 cameras, fire and security alarm monitoring systems, 911 services, and a police blotter.

* Oversees and maintains all equipment within the emergency communication center to guarantee reliability and continuity of emergency response operations. Doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline, or closely related field, including a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in the teaching discipline. Degree and coursework must be obtained from a regionally accredited institution.
Duties: Required to teach Psychology course(s) in one or more of the following modalities: Face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online. Courses may include Statistics, General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Personality, and Brain and Behavior. Courses may be conducted as a 5-week, 8-week, 10-week or 16-week term depending on the semester. Must coordinate course administrative duties such as, but not limited to, grading student work, loading all course content, such as assessments and lecture modules, meeting with students, submitting grades in a timely manner, meeting census and grade deadlines, and additional administrative duties as needed.
Compensation: $2,400 per undergraduate section taught with a master's degree; $2,900 per undergraduate section taught with a Ph.D. $3,100 per graduate level section taught with a master's degree; $3,600 per graduate level section taught with a Ph.D..
