Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a closely related field approved by the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
Experience: Completed a CADE-accredited supervised practice program at a healthcare facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation, or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies. Typically, a practice program will run six (6) to twelve (12) months in length.
Technical Skills: Computer proficient.

Completes required documentation and charge entry for outpatient services per facility procedure.
Documents all relevant aspects of nutritional care in the patient medical record:
Records nutritional assessment data and develops nutrition care plans for individual patients based on department standards.
Makes recommendations for nutrition intervention according to acceptable diet therapy guidelines.
Enters chronological notes that document changes and/or progress toward nutritional goals.
Accurately calculates and records nutrient intake analysis data on patients as needed.
Provides patient, family and caretaker dietary counseling and instruction, as requested by nursing or physician.
Coordinates clinical nutrition with food service operations for delivery of patient care:
Approves the therapeutic diet manual.
Approves all diets, patient menus and nutritional supplements.
Assists with the writing/revision of modified and house diets.
Evaluates menus for nutritional adequacy.
Provides in-service education regarding therapeutic diets to dietary staff. Provides guidance/training to dietary staff in the preparation and serving of therapeutic diets as necessary.
Attends department staff meetings, and other hospital meetings as required.
Aids in development and revision of department policies and procedures.
May be asked to assist in development and administration of clinical nutrition quality assurance program.
Participates in evaluation of dietetic services.

Position Overview: The Dietitian will continuously monitor the patient's progress and will update their nutrition plan accordingly. Dietitians must also conduct research to regularly stay informed on the latest nutrition and food health updates. Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition and clinical dietetics

Job Duties:
Coming up with a core meal plan for general patients, for special requests, or for critical needs
Plan and run psycho-educational groups on topics surrounding how nutrition affects mental health.

Maintaining documentation from aides and management as a daily routine
Keeping track of what has or hasn't worked for a patient, which is crucial to providing proper meals later
Ensuring the cleanliness of a workspace and the proper use of utensils during food preparation, if appropriate
Lead critical projects to design new patient diets and delivery methods
Skills & Qualifications:
Ensure that clients understand their medical care
