Responsibilities Establish department goals aligned with organizational strategy and cardiovascular service-line growth. Oversee operational, financial, and clinical performance across the CVOR. This CVOR Director role oversees 36 FTEs across 6 operating rooms (5 traditional, 1 hybrid) as the region's only provider of open heart and interventional cardiology services. Responsibilities Direct cardiovascular operating room operations, programs, and activities for 6-room CVOR department in alignment with organizational strategic plan. Oversee financial management including budget development, monitoring, staffing models, resource allocation, and cost optimization for cardiac surgical services. Establish department and service line goals supporting strategic objectives while ensuring operational excellence and growth. Direct operations ensuring every patient achieves desired outcomes without harm, waste, and with excellent experience. Promote research and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical, operational, and leadership processes. Integrate clinical, human resource, and financial data to support strategic decision-making and performance optimization. Oversee nursing practice model ensuring excellence in cardiovascular surgical care delivery and Magnet standards compliance. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and regulatory/accrediting agency requirements for cardiovascular surgery programs. Model, facilitate, and promote relationship-centered leadership and professional practice environment for nursing staff. Manage on-call team (3 staff) and late call team to ensure 24/7 coverage for emergent cardiac surgical cases. Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical outcomes. Monitor key performance indicators, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes to drive continuous improvement in cardiac surgery.
