Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled ICU Stepdown / ProgressiveCare Unit (PCU) RN to join a collaborative team providing care for patients requiring frequent assessments, complex drips, and advanced monitoring. This 15-bed stepdown/PCU unit has a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio (occasionally 4:1), with a focus on patients transitioning from ICU or requiring closer observation than med-surg/tele. Nurses in this role manage long-term ventilator patients and provide care in a true progressive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous monitoring and interventions for patients with complex needs
Administer and titrate cardiac drips and manage vented patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery
Advocate for patients while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
Qualifications
Florida RN license or multistate compact license (required)
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU Stepdown or PCU RN experience
Candidates with 3+ years in Cardiac or Multisystem PCU will also be considered

NIH Stroke Scale certification (within 30 days of hire)
