Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical and psychosocial assessments to develop effective, criteria-driven care plans.
Lead interdisciplinary rounds/huddles; collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy, pharmacy, and social work.
Perform medical necessity reviews at admission and throughout stay; escalate level-of-care concerns appropriately.
Manage observation vs. inpatient appropriateness and convert status when indicated.
Complete concurrent/utilization reviews; document and communicate findings to payers.
Identify and mitigate barriers to care, throughput, and discharge; reduce LOS and avoidable days.
Coordinate post-acute placements, services, and community resource linkages.
Document Case Management interventions; track trends and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
Support compliance with regulatory, ethical, and accreditation standards; assist with staff education and protocol rollout.
QualificationsRequired
Active Florida RN license OR Compact RN license (must obtain FL license within 90 days of hire if Compact).
3 years recent acute-care Case Management experience, OR
3 years acute-care RN experience (Med/Surg, Tele, Neuro, ICU, PCU, or ED) with strong UR/throughput skills.
Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing.

About the Role
We are hiring experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RegisteredNurses to join a high-performing Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This fast-paced environment requires strong critical thinking and the ability to care for patients recovering from acute illnesses, post-surgical procedures, and complex medical conditions. You'll work closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care.
Available Shifts
Days (Rotating Weekends)
Nights (Rotating Weekends, +$4/hr Differential)
Key Responsibilities
Assess, monitor, and treat patients requiring intermediate-level care
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and perform unit-specific procedures
Provide post-operative and post-acute nursing care
Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and hospital standards
Qualifications
1+ years of recent acute care PCU experience (within the past year)
Will consider candidates with:
Recent acute ER RN experience OR
3+ years of acute Med-Surg RN experience
ADN or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
Active FL or multistate compact RN license
BLS required within 30 days of hire
ACLS required within 60 days of hire
