What You'll Do: Maintain oil and gas service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles and heavy trucks. What We're Looking For: Experienced mechanic with strong background in diesel maintenance. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to; Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel trucks and trailers: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, AC, air brakes, lights, horn, lift and install heavy components and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies, etc. Ability to utilized a variety of diagnostic software to identify issues. Experience with fuel pump equipment and hoses. Familiar with DOT and other rules and regulations as pertained to vehicle maintenance and compliance. Ability to keep a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA standards. Ability to maintain communication with drivers and management regarding maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment. Accurately record all maintenance activity on company documentation. Monitor Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) for commercial vehicles (Tractor Trailer, Bobtail, Fuel Trailer and Pick-up Trucks) Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders (PO's), etc. When and Where You'll Work: Midland and Orla operational yards 15 Days On/6 Days Off Rotational Shift 12 hour scheduled shifts during hitch Requirements: High School diploma or GED required. Ability to speak, write and read the English language. Ability to handle the daily physical requirements of the work Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods of time while performing maintenance and repairs. Must possess sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to safely use hand and power tools. Must be able to work in a variety of positions, including lying on back or side, working in cramped or elevated areas, and reaching overhead. Must be able to visually inspect parts and equipment, including the ability to differentiate colors and detect fluid leaks. Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying weather conditions, fumes, noise, and dust commonly found in a maintenance shop or field environment.
