* Assists licensed health care providers in data collection to determine the physical and mental health status, needs, and preferences of culturally, ethnically and socially diverse patients and their families.
* Records patient data using EMR to support decision-making to improve patient care.
* Performs testing and obtains vital patient information and measurements.
* Reports data, identifies and reports alterations in patient responses to assist in identifying problems and formulation of goals/outcomes and patient-centered care plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary health care team.
* Assists with exams and procedures and documents interventions in EMR per departmental policy.
* Administers medications to patients.
* Prepares necessary equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments and procedures as directed.
* Cleans, sterilizes and disinfects medical equipment and instruments as directed by the Nurse Manager.
* Answers and retrieves patients' calls on messaging lines. Handles patient requests according to clinic policy.
* Maintains inventory of supplies in examination/treatment rooms.
* Participates in emergency preparedness drills in the department.
* Attends nursing staff meetings.
* Attends all nursing power hours and mandatory training to maintain competency.
* Performs other duties as deemed necessary as assigned by immediate supervisor.
* Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses with procedures in clinic and hospital settings.

Provides administrative and clinical support to patients as delegated by health care providers. Responsible for front desk operations, patient scheduling, check in/out, collection of payments, and coverage of phone/fax lines.
1. Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and licensed nurses with emergency and non-emergency clinical procedures and first aid as needed.
2. Assist with general medical care, obtain vital signs, and report the patient's condition to the provider.
3. Room patients, schedule patient appointments, address phone calls, patient check in/out collection of payment and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
4. Perform EKG, and other office procedures as directed by the delegating provider.
5. Monitor health equipment in exam/treatment rooms and laboratory areas.
6. Performs clerical/administrative responsibilities such as filing and/or scanning patient medical records, obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information.
7. Maintain clinic inventory and restock as needed
8. Communicate with nurse and provider with on relevant patient concerns, emergencies or follow up.
9. Perform simple CLIA waiver laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and collection of other specimens.
10. Prepare specimen for transfer to an offsite lab. Record and maintain lab log and process in EMR.
11. Participate in quality assurance projects, as well as special events and health fairs. 12. Administer appropriate immunization per CDC guidelines and/or provider order.
13. Confidentially transmit patient EMR to collaborative provider/facility.
14. Follow up with patient regarding provider's treatment plan or referral. Document all correspondence in EMR.
15. Assist with medical exams procedures. Educate patient on use of necessary medical equipment. Administer appropriate medication as delegated by ordering provider.
16. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

* Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Clean rooms after procedures, clean and disinfect equipment, and restock supplies.

* Perform routine patient testing; collect and process specimen samples (i.e., blood, urine, tissue biopsies, throat cultures, etc.) as applicable to assigned clinical department.
* Prepare and administer routine medications (oral, rectal, topical, nebulized, intramuscular, or subcutaneous routes); and injections (excluding controlled substances) as directed by the physician as applicable to assigned clinical department. Identify, monitor, and report adverse reactions.
* Remove sutures and staples, change sterile and non-sterile dressings, and perform wound care as requested and as applicable to assigned clinical department..
* Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy at all times. Verify and ensure patient data is accurately documented within electronic systems, and distributed via manual processes.
* Schedule follow-up care (i.e., appointments, referrals, testing) as requested.
* Initiate prior authorizations/pre-certifications as appropriate. Counsel patients on process requirements.
* May perform clinical support duties including but not limited to: phone triage, filing, front-desk reception, data entry, and/or patient registration as requested.
* May be required and/or assigned to temporarily provide cross-coverage to other clinical departments to assist with staffing needs and ensure safe clinical operations.
* May be required to travel as a member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide patient care at TTUHSC EP outreach clinics as applicable to assigned clinical department.
* Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and training required of this position.
* Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.

Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, course and curriculum development, student competition team mentoring, and professional service.
This practice-focused position is open to candidates in engineering with teaching and/or industrial expertise in aeronautics and/or astronautics. On the astronautics side, this includes but is not limited to space propulsion systems, human space flight and space exploration, space environments, orbital mechanics, space autonomy, and spacecraft design. On the aeronautics side, this includes but is not limited to CFD, aerodynamics, aircraft propulsion, sustainable aviation, advanced air mobility, and hypersonics. The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a concentration in aerospace engineering within the ABET accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering program. As of the fall semester of 2025, the department is launching a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering program. The candidate selected for the position will be expected to assist in developing and delivering the design courses in astronautics, as well as teaching other courses required for the degree.

Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling
The Department of Educational Leadership & Counseling is housed in the College of Education & Human Performance at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK), a Hispanic-serving institution. The department, with 11 full-time faculty, offers Master of Science degrees in Adult Education, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Counseling and Guidance, Educational Administration, Instructional Technology; a doctoral program in Educational Leadership; and Transcripted certificates in Higher Educational Administration and Leadership and STEM Leadership.
The Counseling Program offers two programs 100% online: Counseling and Guidance (EDCG) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (EDCM) which is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). TAMUK is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The School Counseling and Guidance program is approved by the Texas State Board for Educator Certification.

Job Description
This search is for one (Non-Tenure Track) position, a 9-month Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor, with the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling, in the College of Education and Human Performance, beginning Spring 2026.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordination of the School Counseling and Guidance (EDCG) Program.
Teach field practicum for certified school counselor candidates to ensure compliance with Texas certification regulations
Advise, mentor, and supervise students
Lead with a vision to develop and enhance programs in the department.
Build a strong program aligned with the University's mission as a Hispanic-serving institution
Address the educational needs of students
Collaborate with colleagues and sustain a collegial environment to fulfill the needs and meet strategic goals of the department, college, and university
Actively participate in service to programmatic, departmental, college, and university committees
Attend two in-person day-long sessions each year on campus at personal expense.
Attend periodic virtual programs, and departmental, college, and university meetings.
Teach 4/4 load in Fall and Spring terms. Summer courses are offered but are not guaranteed.
Be available during the business day to interact with campus staff, the chair of the department, and program colleagues in a timely way.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Master's degree and/or Certified School Counselor (CSC) in any U.S. state
Education
- Earned doctorate either in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited institution, or Rehabilitation if earned prior to January 1, 2018
Education
- Earned 18 graduate hours for every field taught from a regionally accredited institution.
