Brief Job Description:
Under the direction of the Response and Recovery Operations Manager, perform highly advanced (senior-level) consultative and technical assistance work related to public health and medical emergency preparedness and response to DSHS personnel, governmental agencies, and other emergency preparedness and response partners. Serve as the Team Lead for the Operations Team and serve as the technical expert and primary point of contact for all core functional areas related to Emergency Support Function 8, public health and medical services (ESF-8). Train, lead, assign and prioritize the work of the Operations Team personnel for the various ESF-8 functional areas and coordinate with DSHS Central Office and Public Health Region (PHRs) Preparedness staff in implementing ESF-8 operational plans. Assists with the development and maintenance of tactical operating plans and procedures for ESF-8 activities. Responsible for ESF-8 deployable team integration at all levels of ESF-8 coordination in the State of Texas for all-hazards response activities. Oversee the coordination of deployable team activities and operational plans with local, regional, state, and federal response partners. Serve as a member of the DSHS Incident Management Team in the State Operations Center (SOC), State Medical Operations Center (SMOC) and/or Deployable Teams during emergency response and recovery operations. Work under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position actively participates in the State Medical Operations Center (SMOC) or State Operations Center (SOC) during disaster response and/or recovery and completes all training and exercise requirements. CHEPR supports DSHS' mission of providing response support to the SMOC or SOC, requires staff to report onsite within two hours, and the ability to work 12-14-hour shifts. Disaster response activations can require working in-person, 7-days a week, for as long as 2-4 weeks, or more. This position requires the ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays during health response activation. This position is 100% grant funded and is contingent on grant funding.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
(60%) Serve as the Team Lead for the Operations Team. Develop team goals, objectives and trains, leads, assigns, and/or prioritizes the work of others. Assist in administrative matters to include developing performance standards, developing performance evaluations, tracking leave, and hiring of personnel. Oversees the team's development/ update of tactical documents to include standard operating guides, technical guides and task sheets. Oversee emergency planning conferences, meetings, workgroups, and committees to develop coordinated emergency response plans. Oversee, lead, manage, develop, contribute to, and/or implement projects related to improving the response and recovery capabilities within ESF-8 with little supervision. Contribute to After Action Reviews (AAR); oversee the integration of best practices/lessons learned into revised policies, plans and procedures to improve future response activities. Use initiative to improve the team, operations, training, exercises and processes. Recommend and oversee the development of and participate in the training and exercise activities which support or interface with DSHS responders in the State Medical Operation Center (SMOC), State Operation Center (SOC), Regional Health and Medical Operation Center (RHMOC), or deployed teams.
(20%) Maintain expert level knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of public health and medical in emergency preparedness, and response. Broad understanding of planning, training, exercises and the agency's role in disasters. Provides consultative services in formulating, implementing, and monitoring effective emergency and disaster response operational plans and contracts. Coordinates with other DSHS Central Office programs, and other local, state and federal partners in planning and response. Integrate federal assistance into operational planning and procedures. Prepare and issue written, and verbal reports related to tactical and operational level operations.
(15%) Serves as an initial first responder for DSHS within the DSHS incident management structure in the event of a natural or man-made disaster including serving in key command and general staff positions such as Deputy SMOC Director or Section Chief. Able to effectively communicate and coordinate with response partners and issue guidance to SMOC sections. Advise response partners, and other stakeholders on public health and medical preparedness and response, as well as recommend action plans. Act as a liaison to local, regional, state and federal agencies to coordinate joint and reciprocal inter-jurisdictional response and recovery activities. Serve as a senior DSHS representative to the SOC during disaster response activations. May deploy to an affected jurisdiction in Texas to assist in emergency response. Disaster support may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
(5%) Gather, analyze, prepare reports and disseminate information and intelligence. Serve as the intelligence subject matter expert and point of contact for public health and medical all-hazards intelligence and information for the State of Texas. Navigate a variety of records, reports, miscellaneous publications, files, and other sources to support research and analysis. Determine trends and provide an accurate understanding of present and potential public health threats. Apply highly developed inductive reasoning skills to resolve operational problems and provide a proactive approach to potential threats.

1. Experience as the Incident Commander, Deputy Incident Commander, Section Chief or Deputy Section Chief position (or equivalent military positions) in a disaster (not an exercise).
2. At least 2 years of experience in writing complex documents describing process flows, operational plans or standard operating guidelines.
3. At least a bachelor's degree in public health, emergency management or a related field. Three years of experience in public health or emergency management may be substituted for a degree.

Under the direction of the Preparedness Branch Manager in the Center for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (CHEPR), the Preparedness Exercise Team Lead performs highly visible advanced (senior level) consultative and technical work requiring specialized knowledge of public health and medical preparedness, response and recovery activities. As Team Lead for the Exercise Team, lead, assign, and prioritize the work of Exercise Team personnel.
Serves as the technical expert on all preparedness exercise requirements and guidelines. Oversees the development, conduct, and evaluation of Emergency Support Function (ESF) 8 Public Health and Medical exercises, to include drills, tabletops, functional, and full-scale, within DSHS. Oversees the development of and may develop technical guidance documents for the Exercise Team. Oversees the development of the Multi-Year Integrated Preparedness Plan for CHEPR and ensures submission to the federal reporting platform. Consults and coordinates with local and regional public health departments, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), the Texas Office of Homeland Security (TxOHS), and other state and federal partners to ensure coordinated exercise efforts.
Serves as a member of the DSHS Incident Management Team in the State Medical Operations Center (SMOC) or the State Operations Center (SOC) during disaster response and/or recovery efforts. Actively participates and/or serves in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.
Works under limited supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
(40%) Under the direction of the Preparedness Branch Manager, serves as the Exercise Team Lead coordinating, assigning, and prioritizing the work of the exercise team members. Develops team goals and objectives. Provides overall direction to the team in the development and prioritization of exercise needs and recommendations. Assist the Preparedness Branch Manager in administrative matters to include providing feedback on performance standards and evaluations, approving leave based on work assignments, and participating in the hiring panel for new exercise team members. Uses initiative to improve internal team processes as well as exercise and evaluation processes. Works closely and effectively with all Center for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (CHEPR) staff to ensure an integrated preparedness exercise program. Works closely with the Preparedness Management Unit to track CDC and ASPR Cooperative Agreement exercise deliverables. Uses a variety of software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint in order to develop documents, reports, presentations and briefings.
(35%) Maintain expert level of knowledge of the role and responsibilities of public health and medical in emergency preparedness and response as it relates to designing exercises. Oversees and or develops complex public health and medical preparedness exercises (tabletop, drill, functional, or full-scale exercises) incorporating responsibilities from DSHS and TDEM plans and following HSEEP best practices. Coordinates with CHEPR Teams, other DSHS Central Office programs, DSHS Public Health Regions (PHRs), and other state and regional partners on the following: exercise development, exercise conduct, exercise evaluation, and real-world incident After Action Reports (AARs) and Improvement Plans (IPs). Oversees and or develops After Action Reports (AARs) and Improvement Plans (IPs) post exercise and or post real-world incident. Coordinates with the Planning Team Lead to ensure AAR and IP items impacting DSHS Preparedness and Response Plans are used to improve the documents. Oversees the team's maintenance of the IP Tracking System for overall agency improvement to response. Oversees the team's development and or update of technical guidance documents for use among exercise team members. Provides technical assistance to the PHRs within their Exercise Year of the Public Health Integrated Preparedness Plan Rotation (PHIR) on exercise conduct and evaluation.
(10%) Oversee and/or develop the Multiyear Integrated Preparedness Plan (MYIPP) Workshop and the MYIPP for submission to the CDC to meet grant requirements. Coordinates with CHEPR Teams, other DSHS Central Office programs, DSHS Public Health Regions (PHRs), and other partners in the development of the MYIPP. Coordinates with the DSHS PHRs to host and conduct the Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) training course. Maintain lead status as an HSEEP instructor with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM)
(10%) Regularly interacts with external stakeholders and may represent CHEPR at meetings, committees, or workgroups. Prepares and writes specialized reports as needed, including progress reports for CDC and ASPR to meet grant requirements. Prepares and conducts specialized presentations and briefings on public health preparedness, response and recovery activities. Provides exercise related guidance and technical assistance to PHRs and LHDs.
(5%) Other duties as assigned. Actively participates and/or serves in the State Medical Operations Center (SMOC)or the State Operations Center (SOC) during disaster responses and/or recovery efforts. Completes and maintains all training requirements for the agency and for disaster role assignment. Serves in supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.

Brief Job Description:
Serves as the Laboratory Safety Group Team Lead under the direction of the Laboratory Safety Group Manager. Leads a highly advanced and comprehensive safety compliance program for the Public Health Laboratory Division (PHLD) employees. Serves as a liaison between local, state and federal agencies. Develops safety procedures, rules and standards to ensure quality and consistency. Ensures that the laboratory's security and incident response plans meet the federal regulations governing select agents and specific chemicals used in the laboratory. Serves as a consultant to the Health and Human Services Commission Risk Manager with respect to laboratory safety and management of infectious and chemical waste. Stops any activity immediately if imminent or long-term serious danger is apparent. To meet business needs, will be required to work outside regular business hours, on holidays and weekends on an as needs basis. Works under minimal supervision of the Quality Assurance Unit Manager, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
EJF 1. (25%) Oversees, evaluates, and monitors a highly advanced and comprehensive safety and compliance program for laboratory staff. Establishes goals and objectives for the safety program. Maintains an exposure control plan, chemical hygiene plan and radiation safety program based upon the duties performed in each area of the laboratory and provides personnel protective equipment and immunizations. Coordinates and assists with first aid and post exposure follow up procedures for employees who have been injured or potentially exposed to hazardous materials. Directs and ensures adequate investigation, reporting and analysis of accidents to prevent recurrence. Leads, prepares, coordinates, and participates in the activities of the Laboratory Safety Coordinators. Monitors laboratory workers compensation records. Maintains safety related contracts, solicitation, and scope of work for purchase requests.
EJF 2. (25%) Develops safety procedures, rules, and standards to ensure quality and consistency. Performs risk assessments to evaluate, identify and prioritize high risk to low risk of both chemical hazards and infectious substances in a laboratory area. Performs respiratory fit testing on laboratory staff to ensure Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910.134) requirement is met prior to respirator use in the workplace.
EJF 3. (25%) Directs, plans, and monitors safety training and evaluates the competency of a team of safety officers. Ensures safety officers are thoroughly trained in the safety and compliance of their program areas according to local, state and federal regulations. Assigns tasks and establishes deadlines.
EJF 4. (15%) Maintains infectious and chemical waste. Serves as a liaison between local, state, and federal agencies. Ensures compliance with state and federal and local regulations governing the treatment and disposal or recycling of various waste streams. Evaluates the waste streams and establishes procedures for in-house management of waste. Provides training to laboratory staff. Maintains the contract for offsite treatment and disposal of infectious and chemical waste and ensures compliance with the City of Austin pretreatment requirements for acid waste. Responds to incidents involving infectious agents, hazardous chemicals, and radioactive materials. Creates reports as required and maintains records. Acts as the backup contact for the Laboratory Building Coordinator during laboratory building emergencies such as power outages, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical or plumbing issues and security issues to ensure compliance is met with National Fire Protection Association 101 Life Safety Code. May be required to respond to emergencies during non-business hours, weekends, and holidays.
EJF 5. (10%) Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to: actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location; and safe operation of either a state-owned vehicle or personal is required to conduct state business and an acceptable driving record must be maintained in accordance with DSHS Policy OS-3901. Fleet Operations and Management & Procedures and standards developed by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Program Specialist VI is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) and the Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF). This role involves reviewing, interpreting, and implementing federal programmatic and technical guidance and consulting on preparedness policy development, program evaluation, and administrative oversight activities.
This position actively participates in the State Medical Operations Center (SMOC) or State Operations Center (SOC) during disaster response and/or recovery efforts and completes all training and exercise requirements. CHEPR supports DSHS' mission of providing response support to the State Medical Operations Center and/or State Operations Center, requires staff to report onsite within two hours, and the ability to work 12-14 hour shifts. Disaster response activations can require working in person, 7-days a week, for as long as 2-4 weeks, or more.
This position is 100% funded by federal grants.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
1. Program Management and Oversight: (25%)
* Advise and provide counsel to the HPP Branch Manager regarding long-term (5-year HPP project period) and short-term (one-year budget year) planning, prioritizing programmatic requirements to ensure HPP contractors provide efficient service delivery within the HPP and EMTF frameworks.
* Oversee program operations to ensure universal contractor compliance with established standards, policies, administrative rules, and regulations, taking corrective actions as necessary to improve contractor service delivery.
* Proactively identify areas for improvement within the HPP and EMTF program operations and develop strategies to implement efficiencies and innovative practices.
* Complete contractually required HPP contractor performance reports to ensure contractor accuracy and completeness of submission and compliance with agency, programmatic, and federal policies.
2. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building: (25%)
* Actively collaborate with internal (agency-level) and external partners (contractors, public health, and medical stakeholders) to resolve challenges, identify programmatic gaps, and foster collaboration to encourage statewide preparedness and response partnerships.
* Develop and deliver presentations to contractors and stakeholders, providing programmatic updates, outlining contractual requirements, and administering technical assistance. This includes planning and facilitating monthly contractor meetings.
* Maintain relationships with ASPR Project Officer, vendors, and sub-recipient HPP contractors, and EMTF State Coordinating Organization (SCO).
* Plan, organize and host monthly HPP calls with grant sub-recipients.
3. Program Evaluation and Budgeting: (25%)
* Provide counsel on preparing, reviewing, and evaluating program budget requests, ensuring alignment with organizational and programmatic objectives and fiscal accountability.
* Provide expertise and counsel to the Branch Manager to establish and implement robust evaluation techniques to measure HPP and EMTF program performance and identify new initiatives and programmatic expansion opportunities.
* Provide high-level technical assistance to HPP Team members including in-depth analysis and interpretation of policies, procedures, and standards to guide program execution and compliance.
* Provide high-level technical assistance to program sub-recipients, establishing work groups or work sessions, as needed, to enable the sub-recipients to collaborate and leverage regional expertise.
4. Data Collection and Reporting: (10%)
* Coordinate the systematic collection, organization, analysis, and presentation of hospital data (from over 650 facilities) for quarterly drills, Agency leadership requests, public health emergencies, and state and federal (the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) inquiries.
* Provide counsel to the HPP Branch Manager to develop hospital-related metrics in the state's web-based hospital reporting platform, make changes to the reported platform as needed, and develop reports for leadership.
* Complete, monitor, and analyze administrative and performance reports and specialized projects, suggesting improvements and adjustments to enhance program effectiveness.
5. Leadership and Project Management: (5%)
* Serve as a lead on complex HPP and EMTF program initiatives, providing clear direction and mentorship to team members.
* Provide counsel to the HPP Branch Manager to develop risk management and compliance strategies that mitigate potential financial and programmatic challenges and enhance program reliability.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for the HPP and EMTF programs.
6. Additional Responsibilities: (10%)
* Actively participate in or support the agency's obligations for disaster response and recovery as a member of the State Medical Operations Center (SMOC), State Operations Center (SOC); Serving as an on-call team member for SMOC or the SOC on a rotating schedule. EJF 1: Grant Administration (30%)
HIV Prevention Group Team Lead (Team Lead) provides administrative, consultative, and advisory duties in planning, directing, and managing local and state HIV prevention efforts. Coordinates the development, establishment, and implementation of statewide and local HIV prevention plans, goals, objectives, and guidelines in Texas.
The Team Lead can be assigned up to 3 HIV Prevention contracts. Complies with all the requirements of program administration and technical assistance including contract management, program monitoring, and data analysis and reporting.
Serves as lead liaison to the Contract Management unit and develops contractor budget allocations, scopes of work, objectives, performance measures, amendments, and renewal documents. Composes the timeline for contract related work processes, and monitors the timeline, and work plans.
Researches and writes goals and objectives, statement of need, evaluation plans, program plans, budget justifications, and supporting documentation for federal grant applications, using word processing and spreadsheet computer applications. Creates and implements processes to obtain information required in grant applications. Maintains liaison with federal project and fiscal officers, as well as the DSHS grants coordination office.
Works as a member of cross-team work groups on projects related to HIV/STD/HCV program that includes, developing program objectives, reviewing grant applications. Participates in Request for Applications and Request for Proposals processes. Responsible for technical writing of manuals, guidance, and standards for all scopes of work.
EJF 2: Staff Mentoring and Consultation (30%)
The Team Lead monitors and evaluates the work of the HIV prevention consultants and provides training, support, and technical assistance.
Provides input on job descriptions for posting positions and participates in screening and interviewing. Assist with new staff orientation, training, and provides performance data towards annual evaluations. Assist with employee supervision, coaching, documentation of performance and plan for improvement. Provides input on employees' merit increases or disciplinary action.
Monitors staff documentation of site reviews, technical assistance reports, and corrective action plans. May travel with staff to participate in programmatic monitoring and site reviews.
Oversees and provides guidance to consultants while investigating allegations for high level complaints and grievances and responding to public inquiries or concerns. Models best practices during site reviews and other programmatic communications.
EJF 3: Project Management (20%)
The Team Lead heads work groups and projects, conducts meetings, and contributes as a subject matter expert. Serves as a lead in contract management and procurement services. Writes regular project updates, final reports, and technical documents which include education material, contracts, manuals, tools, guidance, standards, policies, and procedures.
May serve as the liaison for interdepartmental collaboration in the delivery of HIV Prevention Services. This includes but is not limited to work with Contracts Management Unit, Operations Unit, Finance and Contracts Group, Health Communications and Community Engagement Group, Public Health Follow Up Group, Planning Group, HIV Care and Medication Unit, Pharmacy Unit, and the HIV/STD/HCV Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.
EJF 4: Data Analysis and Reporting (10%)
The Team Lead assist in identifying trends (e.g., infection trends, community assessment, trends in identified population such as drug administration, sexual trends, trends in access to care), barriers to program implementation and achievement of program objectives statewide.
Serves as the liaison with the data analytics team to review program performance by reviewing program reports and data to inform recommendations. Reviews and analyzes prevention program data and makes appropriate recommendations to programs and DSHS leadership. Uses data to write quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports to meet funding requirements.
Develops statewide trend reports in conjunction with the surveillance department to present to stakeholders.
EJF 5: Other Duties (10%)
The Team Lead performs related duties as assigned by supervisor (marginal functions). This position reports to the Regional Program Administrator (PA) and performs highly advanced (senior-level) consultative services, technical assistance, and supervisory work. The position is responsible for the overall
program service delivery of Child Protective Investigations (CPI) Supervisors, caseworkers, human services technicians, and administrative assistants within the unit. Work involves coordinating, assigning, and providing consultative oversight to assigned CPI units. The Program Director (PD) assists the program in providing training, insight, and case guidance to staff regarding complex investigations. Provides operational oversight to CPI units, including the management of case analysis, travel, time and leave, case assignment, conferences, personnel, positive performance, and educational reference for regional management. Work includes active participation, training and liaison activities within the community, overall CPI delivery of services, provides subject matter expertise regarding Investigations (INV)/Alternative Response (AR) program, and ensures policies and procedures are in compliance

Reviews and analyzes high risk, complex, sensitive, and high-profile investigations to assess child safety issues. Conducts next-level approval of high-risk cases subsequent to supervisory and Child Safety Specialist review to ensure child safety factors are addressed. Reviews and approves all cases staffed for Family Based Safety Services (FBSS), legal, high-risk cases not eligible for services, Parental Child Safety Placements (PCSP), 3 in 30 reports, Office of Consumer Relation inquiries, and completes monthly quality assurance reads on cases. Reviews and approves all Administrative Closure (Admin) and Priority None (PN) cases. (25%)
Evaluates performance of service delivery and program areas to ensure effective and efficient program operations. Ensures program area has all time and leave entered into the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) to provide oversight, regulation, and management of all overtime accumulated by staff. The PD conducts monthly meetings with CPI supervisors to provide training or technical assistance in a program area such as important communications pertaining to policies and procedures, address trends and patterns, discuss CPI updates, support team building opportunities, and ensure performance standards are met. Develops and implements appropriate strategic plans for improving program operations. Identifies program, policy, knowledge and procedural gaps and inconsistencies, assesses the need for new training development for program and agency staff, and provides guidance to agency and program leadership in the development, coordination and deployment of agency training materials and activities. Prepares management reports, analyses, and correspondence on the effectiveness of program activities. (25%)

The PD conducts monthly meetings with CPI supervisors to provide training or technical assistance in a program area such as important communications pertaining to policies and procedures, address trends and patterns, discuss CPI updates, support team building opportunities, and ensure performance standards are met. Develops and implements appropriate strategic plans for improving program operations. Brief :
The SWI Screener Supervisor performs highly complex (senior-level) consultative services, technical assistance and supervisor work. This position manages a unit of screeners for Children's Protective (CPI) responsible for conducting screening on CPI intakes. The Supervisor provides case consultations and monitors the status of cases by staffing intake reports, utilizing data reports to identify trends and patterns regarding case decisions. The Supervisor selects, hires, manages, and develops staff through review of performance data, individual conferences, case readings, data warehouse reports, and unit meetings to ensure productivity and compliance with policy and procedure. The position supervises a unit of caseworkers and clerical staff responsible for providing child protective services. The position oversees the unit in accordance with Child Protective Services Handbook, Title III of the Texas Family Code and Minimum Standards of child placing agencies. The position interacts routinely with clients, judges, attorneys, children, school personnel and all other aspects of the community.
The role of a Conservatorship supervisor is a fast-paced, high energy position requiring daily assessment and decision-making of child safety issues, and permanency. One must possess the initiative to independently organize and manage numerous tasks associated with the position. Conservatorship supervisors will interact routinely with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services staff, parents, children, youth, caregivers, contract providers, civil and criminal court personnel along with community representatives, and other partner agencies. CVS supervisors manage and develop staff to ensure that services to children, youth and families are set up timely, that services are directed towards child safety, permanency, and well-being. They ensure that each child, youth and parent has a current plan of service, and that children visit with family members per agency policy.

Brief :
CPS Local Perm Program Director I/II is responsible for managing five LPS Supervisors. The LPS PD for ensuring child safety for youth placed outside the region that has legal jurisdiction. Ensure the LPS Supervisors are training and developing staff. The LPS PD is responsible for conducting routine facility visits ensuring that the LPS program follow policy and procedure that all youth in out-of-region placements achieves permanency, seen at least monthly and that most of the visits occur in the child's current residence, assess a home or facility's safety and appropriateness, Increase the child's sense of support and stability, allow for a quick response to a child if there is a crisis. Local Permanency Specialist PD is responsible for making sure that LPS Supervisors are ensuring that the LPS worker is communicating with the primary workers and facilities, staffing and providing directives to staff, conducting monthly unit meetings and universities. The LPS PD ensures that all medication management reviews are completed timely and Staffings are documented. The LPS PD monitors each unit's FTF contact, HCS contacts youth placed in GRO Emergency shelters and Foster homes. The LPS PD will participate in FITS calls to provide updates for monitoring. The LPS PD will provide staff development and training tools for the unit supervisors and program.

Plans and manages program operations to achieve project goals and objectives for services delivery by monitoring all unit caseloads, consulting with supervisor on case issues, selects, manages, and develops staff review of performance data, conferences, training, and performance appraisal.
* Interprets program policy and procedures to unit supervisor, other agency staff, parents, children, youth, caregivers, the courts and other stakeholders, and the public.

* Degree in Social Work, Human Services (Psychology, Sociology, Child & Family Studies, or Counseling), or Criminal Justice.
* Two years' experience investigating child abuse or neglect (including out of state investigative agencies).
* Favorable casework data/performance history as an investigator.
* Proven success in developing people (teaching, training or being a CPI Mentor).
* Prior leadership experience in any performance-based field.
