Numerical Control Lofter III(Job Number: 335374) Description Provides programming for numerically controlled production, tooling programs, and Manufacturing Development Projects, utilizing engineering lines and data planning information. Responsible for creating either graphically or mathematically, any additional lines and surfaces that are required in the development of parts, tools, tooling fixtures, assembly fixtures, and all mockups making certain that all design characteristics and aerodynamic features are included in the shape according to the master engineering lines; using engineering drawings is engaged in the making of the required layouts and templates for a particular project or a detail of a major project; all work must be performed within predetermined tolerances; contacts the appropriate engineering personnel and discusses with them required changes whenever it is found that a particular design does not meet tooling or manufacturing requirements or standards; maintains follow-up on the tools, assists the Fabrication and Assembly departments in their use; must have a knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing and Planning processes and procedures. Facilitates the fabrication of the project; must use mathematical formulas for computing flange setback and spring back development, form and die setups, bend allowance, and apply scale factors when required.
1.) Maintains complete documentation of programs to ensure effective process control.
2.) May create tooling/material sketches, numerically controlled setup sheets, dimensional charts, material sketches, and machine operation diagrams. Determines from Engineering information, the most efficient and expedient method of lofting by numerical control methods and fabricating by numerical control tooling and sheet metal standards and related tools where dimensional sequencing of operations is required on numerical controlled sheet metal type fabrication equipment for the most difficult assignments.
3.) Capable of scheduling several assignments and possessing the skills required to submit reliable cost/hour estimated: capable of directing other individual's workflow concerning specific programs.

The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for two Machining Apprentices to join our team beginning January 2026.
Under supervision of the Manufacturing Team Leader/Mentor, the apprentice will complete a pre-apprenticeship program for a period of three months. The pre-apprentices program focuses on training in safety, basic blue-print reading, basic machining on conventional lathes and mills, measurements and parts verification.
After a successful pre-apprenticeship period, the apprentice will be registered with the Department of Labor under a CNC Machining apprenticeship program. The program will include on the job training as well as instructor led courses through our partner organization, Oakland Community College. The training will be focused on CNC lathes, CNC mills, and advanced machining.
The apprenticeship training period is for 2 years. After successful completion, the candidate will finish in an off-shift position as a permanent full-time employee.

Demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude
Previous exposure to a machining curriculum is preferred i.e. High School or Community College Machining Curriculum

Job Description
We're Hiring: CNC Machinist High Bridge, NJ | 2nd Shift Available (+10% shift differential)
At Trident Maritime Systems - Custom Alloy Division, we specialize in producing high-quality seamless and welded pipe, tube solutions, and custom fabrications for both defense and commercial clients. We're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team and help deliver precision parts that meet exacting standards for critical applications.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands machining processes, and values working in a hands-on, team-driven environment.
What You'll Do
Operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce parts to exact specifications
Upload, verify, and adjust CNC programs for optimal performance
Configure tooling, offsets, and perform minor program edits as needed
Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances
Read and interpret blueprints to document and verify measurements
Maintain machines through routine care and troubleshooting
Handle materials within the shop using forklifts and other equipment
Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflows
Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards
What We're Looking For
A willing to work 2nd shift.
High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
Basic experience operating and programming CNC or manual machinery (lathes, grinders, etc.)
Strong communication skills and ability to read/interpret blueprints
Familiarity with shop math (fractions/decimals) and material properties
Competence with inspection tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
Knowledge of part holding, deburring, and general machining practices
Safety-conscious and team-oriented

WORK PERFORMED:
Sets up and operates all types of milling machines on diversified production, experimental or tool work wherein methods must be devised to machine parts. Devises methods to clamp, block and hold work. Selects speeds, feeds and tools. Selects reference points. Uses dividing heads. Uses boring head with special tools and cutters. Work involves all types of milling operations, including facing and milling, dovetailing, boring, reaming, gear work, etc. Uses a wide variety of attachments including slotting equipment, grinding wheels and grinding attachments. Frequently works without fixtures. Works to close tolerances.
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED:
Various conventional, NC and CNC milling machines and the attachments thereto, machinists' hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
Experience and other requirements:
Three (3) years performing the work above.
