1981 – Patrick Haas named Vice President and appointed to the Board of Directors

1982 – Purchased first thermoplastic injection machine

1985 – Started molding Thermoplastic materials for the appliance industry

1992 – Patrick Haas named President

1993 – Elizabeth Mitchell and Scott Mitchell appointed to the Board of Directors

1995 – Christopher Haas appointed to the Board of Directors

1999 – Christopher Haas named Vice President of Sales/Marketing

2004 – CO-Founder Ted Haas passes away

2005 – Patrick Haas named CEO/President

2007 – Christopher Haas named President

2008 – Opened Findlay, Ohio Production Plant

2011 – Daniel Day appointed to the Board of Directors

2013 – Opened Bowling Green, Ohio Production Plant

2015 – TH Plastics starts its third major assembly line in Bowling Green, OH

In 2016, the petrochemical industry used the equivalent of 17.4 million barrels of oil per day, which is just under 20% of global oil consumption.

A German study published in 2017 estimated that ten rivers, of which eight are in Asia and two in Africa, account for 90% of plastic waste in the oceans – the Yangtse alone releases 15 million metric tons each year.

In a 2018 study, the International Energy Agency predicts production of around 600 million metric tons by the middle of the century.
