JOB DUTIES
Clean resident rooms including bathrooms and floors on a daily basis
Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including common areas, nursing station areas, lounges, stairways and offices
Empty trash and restock housekeeping supplies as needed
Assist with laundry department
Perform other housekeeping functions as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate required
Ability to understand and communicate in English required
Prior housekeeping experience preferred
Must be able to work with all cleaning equipment as well as laundry and cleaning chemicals
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry supplies up to 25 pounds

ABOUT THIS POSITION
This is a hourly position (40hrs) based at The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The shift requirements for this position are 8:00am-4:30 pm and availability for every other weekend. You will be expected to cover assigned shifts, including holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs on occasion. This position is covered by the SEIU 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Assists the Property Manager in all aspects of their duties:
Tenant Relations:
Screens all incoming calls, including Property Manager's calls.

Sends out service request orders.
Follows up that all repairs were completed.
Vacancies:
Responsible for inputting and updating all vacancies on Lotus Notes; including gathering pertinent information from lease file, PMAS, square footage etc.
Schedules dust wipes. Follows up on results.
Updates the renovation board.
Orders appliances for vacancies and occupied apartments.
Informs Superintendent of delivery dates.
Follows up to ensure that appliances were delivered.
Service request forms
Weekly, gathers all of the service request forms from the Superintendents.
Provides Managing Agent and Department Head with a schedule of the number of service requests per building.
Boiler Service Forms
Gathers all of the boiler service forms from the Superintendents on a weekly basis.
Provides Managing Agent and Department Head with a schedule of the forms.
Liaison between Superintendent and Property Manager
Coordinates with the Superintendent in regard to scheduled repairs and renovations.
The APM will be held accountable for the following expectations:
Timely, accurate and proactive completion of all tasks, duties and responsibilities outlined above.
Assistance provided to Property Manager, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of good relations between Management and tenants, as well as with outside contractors, vendors, and others.
Coordinates with Property Manager to ensure efficient building operations, and effective utilization and deployment of building personnel, in coordination with Building Superintendent and Department Head.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of related work experience, preferably in a real estate or property management firm

Maintains cleanliness and safety of the rehabilitation department's physical environment and assigned equipment.
Oversees maintenance of equipment in accordance with infection control safety guidelines.
Responsible for maintenance and replenishment of daily needs of clean linen and other commonly used items. Returns used/soiled linens to housekeeping per facility protocol.
Completes assigned clerical duties, such as computer data entry, photocopying, filing, answering the phone, retrieval of therapy related documentation and other paperwork.
Maintains a record of equipment maintenance and cleaning schedule as assigned by the therapist manager/s.
Performs routine inventory and informs the Therapist Manager/s of stock replenishment needs.

The Actors Fund Home , an assisted living, skilled nursing, accredited dementia care and sub-acute rehabilitation center located in Englewood, NJ, and a recipient of a CMS Five Star rating, seeks a Full Time Cook to perform food preparation and cooking services for residents and staff in accordance with food safety regulations to ensure that quality food and service is provided at all times.
Nursing home cooking experience preferred with knowledge of resident diets, therapeutic food, specialty meals and modified diets as they relate to senior living in a healthcare environment.

JOB DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Food Services Director, the Cook will:
Prepare and serve meals for residents and staff in accordance with food safety regulations and within physician's/nutritionists' dietary recommendations
Maintain high standard of food preparation, sanitation, storage, and portion control
Determine food and supplies needed for daily menus; obtain supplies in time for adequate production
Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
Assist in scheduled cleaning duties following established sanitary standards
Assist in supervising dietary functions and personnel in absence of supervisor as directed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience with institutional cooking in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of therapeutic diets for nursing home residents
ServSafe Certified or able to certify within 90 days
Ability to lift various carton weights up to 40 lbs
Ability to work in cooperation with other staff members and multitask in a faced paced environment
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, write and comprehend English and follow verbal and written instructions accurately
Able to make simple calculations
Maintain required records as necessary
An understanding of, affection for, and a desire to work with seniors
ABOUT THIS POSITION
This is a full time (40 hours) hourly position based at The Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ. The schedule for this position will be from 5:00am to 1:30 pm or 10:30am to 7:00pm. The successful candidate must be able to cover assigned shifts on a regular basis, including weekends, holidays, and should be available to cover vacations/call outs of other cooks on occasion.
