Vehicle Ground Concepts Department Description The Vehicle and Ground Concepts Department (VGCD) in EED provides space vehicle and ground system preliminary/conceptual design; trade and architecture analysis, modeling, process development and leadership expertise; and tool development in support of conceptual design activities across the space enterprise. The Payload Launch Site Support Services (PLSSS) Program, within LM Space, provides launch processing support functions for our government customer. Key elements of the program scope include spacecraft launch preparations, spacecraft transportation operations, and processing facilities O&M. What You'll Be Doing Lead, mentor and enable Aerospace colleagues to work cooperatively with customer personnel, and contractor personnel to guide manufacturing readiness assessments that span the lifecycle; to include system development; assembly, integration, test, low rate initial production, and full production; assess readiness for new technology insertion in the manufacturing process; assess manufacturing process control effectiveness, recommend process control investments and data collection to improve manufacturing quality insights.
