This position requires a high level of ownership with the ability to clearly communicate, identify and mitigate risks, work independently and manage outside counsel. This position will be a for a qualified attorney looking to work with a dynamic in-house legal team at the forefront of the energy landscape. The AES Clean Energy Legal team has nearly thirty attorneys that are experts in every facet of clean energy development. This position will be in the Development and M&A group consisting of six attorneys and one paralegal. This team focuses on project development by providing comprehensive counsel to our commercial development and M&A teams.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide advice and counsel to development, permitting, interconnection, environmental, stakeholder relations, and project execution teams for renewable energy and battery storage projects from inception to construction-ready status.
* Assist with public policy and regulatory issues and provide counsel in the identification of strategic markets.
* Manage the negotiation and drafting of service agreements, development agreements, procurement agreements, permits and applications, etc.
* Work closely with real estate counsel and teams on cross-functional agreements.
* Achieve and maintain industry knowledge and strategy expertise for solar, wind and battery storage projects.
Desired Experience and Skills:
* Renewable energy experience; wind energy, battery storage or general infrastructure project development experience a plus.

Primary Position Responsibilities:
Support deal and transaction review of the AES Clean Energy business as it relates to US federal and state income tax, income tax provision impacts, model review, sales and use tax, property tax and transfer taxes.
Assisting with technical research and quantitative analysis for business and tax planning projects that optimize financial and cash taxes on existing and prospective company investments and consider effects on the business and its owners. Qualifications of Ideal Candidates:

Partnership tax technical and compliance expertise, and interest to further develop, through supporting M&A and renewable investment transactions in close partnership with business and tax peers, state tax exposure a plus. Experience with maintaining partner tax capital accounts, taxable income, outside tax basis and adjustments such as section 704(c) section 743, a plus.
Comfort coordinating across tax teams in a shared knowledge environment, leveraging in-house tax expertise while an demonstrated ability to exercise judgement over complex issues in a fast-paced environment; comfort working with multiple simultaneous scenarios to drive optimized financial and cash tax outcomes.
Interest in leaning to review M&A financial models; Hypothetical Liquidation at Book Value (HLBV) computations and with advanced Excel skills, Power BI, and visualizations a plus.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or tax, Master's degree / CPA.
2 to 3 years of experience working on tax issues with a national accounting firm or a multi-national corporate tax department.

This role will be based in Locust Grove,VA.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the safe and reliable operation of the utility solar power plant by ensuring that vegetation does not impact operations of the solar arrays, and ensures that applicable environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines are followed for the care and maintenance of the land, roads, fence line, ponds, creek, and other waterways on the property.
Keeps safety and environment as number one priority and utilizes PPE when required.
Operates trimmers/edgers, including cleaning-up area and equipment routinely to minimize or prevent growth of vegetation in solar arrays, around equipment, and on fences and gates. This may include pulling and removing weeds and larger vegetation that cannot be managed with trimmers/edgers, as well as cleaning and disposal of debris and waste. May also include mowing, raking, sweeping, and minor equipment maintenance.
Works with/support land maintenance contractors and sheep ranchers.
May operate and perform maintenance on landscaping equipment including tractors, sitting mowers, push mowers, and other required land maintenance equipment.
Assists with daily maintenance of all mowing and trimming equipment, and area clean-up and disposal of debris.
May be required to support maintenance and clean-up of ponds and waterways on site, including working from a boat, if necessary.
May support washing PV Panels utilizing panel washing equipment.
Recognizes process improvements and communicates them to the Land Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

The Development Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of utility scale solar PV and energy storage projects in early and mid-stage development. Responsibilities include design development and reviews, energy models, equipment specifications, and design calculations to support EPC pricing estimates, RFP submittals, permitting applications, design drafting, and due diligence on greenfield and M&A project sites.
Designs will be developed, optimized, analyzed, and reviewed utilizing PVsyst, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVcase, MS Office, and SharePoint among other tools. The Development Engineer will be responsible for supporting the engineering design and development of utility-scale renewable energy projects. The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $96,000 and $115,175/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position Summary:
The Corporate Tax Associate supports a wide range of U.S. tax matters within a dynamic multinational environment. The role involves conducting technical research and analysis to support corporate tax reporting and planning initiatives. Major Responsibilities

Job Description
As a Robotics Hardware Engineer in the Maximo team, you will lead the development of advanced robotics systems and components. You will be a key player in the development of the whole robotics HW that enables Maximo, our solar module installation robotic system. Duties will include designing, developing, and integrating complex robotics systems, as well as leading the technical roadmap for the Robotics hardware aligned with our vision and Product Roadmap.
A successful candidate has a strong technical understanding of industrial robotics system hardware design, combined with experience with a 0 to 1 as well as scaling robotics products. They will be entrepreneurial, mission-driven individuals responsible for actively progressing, developing, and executing the technical vision of the solar module installation robotic system. This person will be responsible for the definition, design, development, and improvement of complex mechanical systems such as robotics applications, heavy machinery, trailers, vehicles, and ruggedized products, in close collaboration with robotics, controls, and vision/AI engineers.

Major Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design and development of advanced robotic systems, including components, subsystems, and assemblies, ensuring high quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Develop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scope.
Translate product level requirements into subsystem/module/component technical design criteria.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and control engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
Oversee the prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in robotics and mechanical engineering to drive innovation and improve product performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in hardware design and development of robotic systems.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex robotic systems to market.
Expert knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX).
Demonstrated ability, either through previous projects, advanced education/research, and/or knowledge of the robotics field
Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., CE, FCC, UL), safety standards, risk assessment, product definition (sensors, power and electronics components)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and troubleshooting skills.
