What You'll Do Every Day
You'll be the surgeon's right hand, helping pets through their surgical journey:
Prep patients for surgery and assist during procedures
Induce and monitor anesthesia

Care for equipment, maintain a clean surgical environment

Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients' medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Our Integrated Veterinary Pain Management Center in Maryland Heights has an opening for a Pain Center Registered Veterinary Technician. This full-time position will work under the supervision of a staff veterinarian. The Pain Center RVT will be responsible for:
preparation of treatment rooms for animal exams,
performing physical therapies,
assisting with chiropractic treatments (under the direction of a licensed chiropractor),
recording measurement data for the Stance Analyzer, Infrared Camera, Gait Analysis and Goniometer,
as well as preparation of medication and equipment for treatment.
Qualified candidates should have an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school, current veterinary technicianlicense, with rehabilitation experience, or CCRP preferred.

Registered Vet Tech:
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that possesses knowledge of animal health care, animal restraint techniques, and surgery preparation in addition to being detail-oriented and having excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. A commitment to client education and communication is required for this position.
