Acts as a Human Resource affiliate by greeting applicants, assisting in the application process, and answering job openings and application status questions.
Place orders on respective websites and fulfill First Aid kits for the homes. Announces and assist in safety training drills.
Takes employee's and visitor's temperature.
It opens the reception area and is available to customers at opening time. Closes reception area and the close of business
Help other departments with projects as requested.

Summary of Job Functions:
The Behavioral Health Specialist oversees the delivery of services and supports to individuals in accordance with each individual's identified goals as well as The Arc's Mission Statement and Guiding Values. Under the general supervision of the AMHR Program Manager, the Behavioral Health Specialist supports the clinical staff to assure treatment outcomes by supervising client activities and chores. The position performs data entry into databases; prepares paperwork; conducts client intakes and orientation groups; documents client behaviors in EHR; assists with operational functions and schedules; monitors clients, provides client education, accompanies and/or transports clients on approved passes, and facilities client recovery skills groups as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintains internal program statistics, referrals data, and follow-up records; enters data into Therap, AKAIMS, and other databases, perform electronic transmissions and produces related reports.
Schedule rooms for educational sessions, group sessions, and other uses. Perform note-taking on staff's hotline and/or telephones as needed. Supervise clients' activities and chores.
Assist with preparing and submitting General events reports, critical incident reports, and corrective actions.
Perform client intake and program orientation; lead house routines and monitor individuals' behavior, notifying the clinical team via Therap documentation when action is needed.
De-escalate clients in emergency situations using MANDT, and immediately contacts the supervisor and/or counselor.
Complete appropriate training on medication distribution procedure, obtain medications for clients, observe client self-administration of medication, and complete required documentation.
Support clients in completing assignments and providing feedback.
Provide client education, give presentations, and lead discussion sessions with clients.
Transport and accompany clients on approved passes.
Obtain urinalysis specimens and BRAAC from clients, as assigned.
Attend staff meetings and complete required training.
Adheres to policy, procedures, and regulations set forth by regulating authorities such as and is not limited to local, state, federal, CARF, Medicaid, and The Arc of Anchorage.

Education and Experience:
Knowledge of or experience in client care in a clinical or medical setting.

Would you like to support your neighborhood schools? Anchorage School District is hiring school based temporary positions. These positions work limited hours and schedules but provide much needed support.
Potential positions are:
Noon Duties: $15.00 per hour
Noon duties supervise and assist sudents during the lunch hour, in hallways, classrooms, and on the playground to ensure safety and observance of school procedures. Work is generally performed between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Crossing Guards: $15.00 per hour
Crossing guards direct and regulate the flow of traffic so that school children can cross the street safely before and after school. Work is generally performed in the morning and/or afternoon (before/after school).

**POSITION SUMMARY**
This position provides case management services to the clients. The primary purpose of this position is to help TANF client's transition into a state of financial independence. 1. Prepares and maintains case files both in the TAS software and in paper file, records and documents in a timely and thorough manner.
2. Issues payments, reports and notices in TAS by appropriate monthly deadlines.
3. Tracks and monitors all client cases to assure clients compliance with mandated federal work activity and state requirements.
4. Meets all work participation rates for community service or work activity requirements within the federal guidelines. Monitors and makes recommendations for sanctions or adverse actions.
5. Coordinates and creates monthly work participation activities for TANF recipients by communicating work and educational opportunities, job fairs, family wellness, community service and activity functions.
6. Document outcomes, follow-up, and case notes for each TANF client in a timely manner consistent with TANF guidelines.
7. Maintain a positive relationship with each client to show your support and guidance through sincerity, empathy and resourceful.
8. Provides direct and ongoing case management services and offers support, guidance, and encouragement to promote self-sufficiency and to help reduce the recipient's dependence on TANF assistance.
9. Demonstrates progressive interview skills in order to develop and update a Family Self-Sufficiency Plan with each client. Must be able to identify family strengths, potential and current barriers to subsequently set goals for the client to become self-sufficient.
10. Initiate frequent contact with all TANF recipients by phone, in person and home visits to confirm and verify household status.
11. Works with team members to develops a publicity plan to promote and advertise for the TANF program

Familiarity with the Northwest Arctic Borough Region, its culture, people, and ability to speak Inupiaq desirable. Have a current knowledge of local and outside resources for client educational, training, and job opportunities Ability to read, understand and become proficient with the Maniilaq TANF Manual and ability to put in practice the policy and regulations. Able to learn P.L 102.477 and each program component and compliance regulations. Prior experience using computers at the beginning level for word processing and data entry.
