The Maintenance Technician fulfills the mission of the Hope of Valley Rescue Mission by providing maintenance support to the HOTV Program sites. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Team Support:
Efficiently and effectively completes maintenance requests, as assigned through Maintainx.
Communicates with the Maintenance team for scheduling, instruction and guidance to complete tasks.
Communicates on Maintainx with photos and comments on the status of the request.
Forecasts and reports the supplies needed to purchase for the scheduled tasks and communicates with the Director of Operations for purchasing.
Ensures the assigned vehicle is organized and stocked for the day's assigned tasks.
Performs routine maintenance - fixing structural damage, wall repair, paint, window replacement, et.
Repairs broken or leaking plumbing in buildings, conex trailers, hygiene trailers, and other.

We are currently hiring a Landscaping Crew Lead to join our team. The Crew Leader, provides support and training to participants working in group supported employment. The role completes landscape tasks as part of a daily work load, and ensures quality and quantity of all work completed meet employer expectations. The role utilizes standard training techniques to teach participants to perform grounds maintenance tasks according to guidelines established by the Supervisor and employer. In addition, the Crew Leader provides training and support to participants to improve social, personal, and other work-related skills.
Schedule: Tues- Sat 6a-3pm
Pay: The pay for this position is $21.00 to $21.00

A typical day will include:
Providing direction and completing landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging and minor irrigation.

Communicating effectively and professionally with employer and other employees at the work site.
Emulating exemplary work behaviors at all times.
What you'll need to be successful:
Experience in landscaping services including with heavy machinery (riding mower, chainsaw, trimmer)
HS Diploma or GED
Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
Valid CA Driver's License with clean driving record; able and willing to transport participants

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager, Food Services to lead operations at our high-volume mess hall facility at MCRD, (Marine Core Recruit Depot). This is a strategic role for candidates with strong operational acumen, supervisory experience, and the ambition to grow!
Role Overview:
As Assistant Manager, you will oversee a large-scale food service operation, ensuring precision in meal delivery, sanitation, and team performance. You'll lead a diverse team, uphold military and organizational standards, and drive operational excellence in a high-volume, high-visibility environment. This position offers a clear path to advancement for candidates who demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate staff to ensure meals are served on time and to military specifications
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all food service areas

Train staff in food safety, sanitation, and serving techniques
Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with all policies

ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor cost controls
Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
Valid CA Driver's License, auto insurance, and acceptable DMV record
Ability to transport clients and supplies as needed
Experience with electronic case management systems preferred
Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
