DUTIES OF THE AUDIOLOGIST:
Engage in the differential diagnosis of the full range of hearing problems associated with 1) functional 2) mixed 3) conductive 4) sensory 5) neural 6) sensorineural and 7) central hearing losses.
Demonstrate advanced competence in areas to include advanced audiologic and electrophysiologic evaluation, comprehensive tinnitus assessment and treatment, bio-electric implanted devices, advanced vestibular assessment and treatment/management, and amplification and signal processing technology. In diagnosing these problems, the Contractor shall conduct and interprets the complete range of specialized and refined audiological test procedures currently available.
Audiologists diagnose audiologic disorders, conduct audiologic or neuro-audiologic assessments, treat auditory disorders through various modalities and provide adjunctive interventions for the treatment of medical disorders.
Demonstrate competence in the operation and maintenance of diverse and specialized audiometric equipment including computer facilities and adjunct components.
Utilize patient records, patient performance, and family interviews and counseling as they contribute essential data in the diagnostic process and appropriate patient care.
Organizes clinical data systematically for effective retrieval for clinic and investigational requirements.
Be responsible for analyzing problems that occur in the delivery of services, collection of related data and information, and implementing solutions and follow up plans to assure that the actions were appropriate.
Assess the nature, type, and severity of hearing/communication/vestibular disorders that identifies and evaluates individuals with hearing disorders in the reception and perception of speech, language, and other acoustic signals. Administer full range of tests including auditory evoked potentials, video nystagmography, tinnitus, and balance assessment;evaluates the type and degree of hearing loss;administers compensation and pension evaluations and provides an expert opinion regarding etiology of auditory dysfunctions as needed.
Provide relevant and timely information and assists with decision-making and process improvement.
Complete training to obtain knowledge and maintain competency in the following systems:

The Sleep Medicine Physician (Somnologist) is a full-time position, 80 hours per two weeks, 8 or 10 hour day shifts, Mon. - Fri., between 6: 00 AM to 6: 00 PM. DUTIES OF THE SLEEP MEDICINE PHYSICIAN (SOMNOLOGIST):
Serve as a somnologist in Sleep Medicine responsible for the examination, diagnosis and treatment of the full range of outpatients seen in the clinic. The presence of multiple chronic conditions and a wide range of sleep and breathing disorders and diseases, complicated diagnoses and treatments, requires the training and experience of a board-certified specialistmin Sleep Medicine.
Performs a wide range of medical duties covering all aspects of disorders involving Sleep Medicine that is of moderate to severe complexity.
Examine patients, orders, interprets, and evaluates the full range of tests when indicated in patients when diseases or pain syndromes are affecting sleep.
Understand and utilize scoring standards as recommended by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Make diagnoses and prescribes appropriate treatments to include continuous positive airway pressure, bi-level airway pressure, oxygen, drugs or behavioral modalities.
Make referrals to the appropriate clinics. Communicates with patients, referring physicians and the appropriate primary care manager for management of disorders outside the specialty of Sleep Medicine.
Provide prescription renewal and telephone consultative services. Provide recommendations or definitive evaluation for sleep medicine and breathing related disorders in the referral region through phone consultation, telemedicine, and authorization and evaluation of air evacuation patients as appropriate. Provide episodic care to clinic patients on a walk-in basis.

Provide chart, polysomnography, and multiple sleep latency testing review for quality assurance purposes in the area of Sleep Medicine as requested.
Examine and conduct thorough studies of presenting patients utilizing and ordering evaluation assets including electroencephalography, Magnetic-encephalography (MEG), olfactory testing, and neuro-regenerative, neuro-imaging, vestibular, and sleep study evaluations.
Conduct comprehensive neurological exams on patients to include cranial nerve, motor/sensory and cerebellar function.
Interpret and report out results of polysomnograms and electroencephalograms, magnetic encephalography (MEG), olfactory testing, neuro-regenerative, and neuro-cognitive evaluations.
Provide expert assessment and interpretation of polysomnography, multiple sleep latency, maintenance of wakefulness testing, actigraphy, and overnight oximetry.
Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in sleep medicine in collaboration with clinicians in other medical specialties on cases involving complicated and multifaceted neurological and neuropsychiatric problems.
Oversee and educate interdisciplinary teams responsible for testing and treating patients with sleep issues, ensuring that the highest standards of professional practice and ethics are maintained.
Make recommendations to the ISC Director for improvement of patient and family services and clinical operations related to the implementation and conduct of quality improvement strategies.
Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary team consisting of clinic physicians and psychologists, neuroscience researchers, pharmacists, nurses, and professionals in various specialties. Continually fosters an interdisciplinary approach to care that relies on pattern recognition of physical, behavioral, social, and spiritual conditions.
Utilize patient records, patient performance, and family interviews and counseling as they contribute essential data in the diagnostic process and appropriate patient care.
Organizes clinical data systematically for effective retrieval for clinic and investigational requirements.
Responsible for analyzing problems that occur in the delivery of services, collection of related data and information, and implementing solutions and follow up plans to assure that the actions were appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SLEEP MEDICINE PHYSICIAN (SOMNOLOGIST):
Degree/Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association;Association of American Medical Colleges;Liaison Committee on Medical Education;Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained (e.G. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.

Currently recruiting a Dentist to work in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to provide dental care to our military heroes, their family members, and retirees at Fort Liberty. The Dentist is a full-time position, 40 hrs./wk., Mon - Fri between the hours of 6: 00 am to 6: 00 pm (excluding federal holidays). The exact hours of duty will be coordinated between the employee and the government.
DUTIES OF THE DENTIST:
Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases, abnormalities, injuries, and dysfunctional disorders of the oral cavity and its associated structures.
Provider in the Specialty of Dentistry. The type of work may include, but is not limited to, the following: Dental practice, management of patients, and dental prescriptions will be accomplished in accordance with applicable AFMS clinical practice guidelines and JCAHO/HSI standards and instructions set forth in facility where privileges are awarded.
Examines patients and interprets radiographs and diagnostic tests to determine type and extent of dental diseases and disabilities or dysfunctions. Evaluates findings and prescribes type, extent, and order of treatment. Refers non-dental problems to appropriate medical specialty.
Restores health and function of carious, fractured, otherwise defective teeth. Performs routine preventive, periodontal, oral surgery, endodontic, and prosthodontic treatment.
Provides consultation services. Performs comprehensive dental functions. Performs complex dental treatment procedures in the absence of specialist.
May serve as preceptor for general dentistry residency programs.
Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as, but not limited to the following: quality improvement meetings, professional staff meetings, commander's staff meetings, mental health flight meetings, and other meetings required by applicable regulations, MTF guidance, or as directed by the mental health flight Commander or his/her designated representative.
Consults with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts, as required.
Maintains accurate and current notes in the Dental Health records, inpatient medical records and electronic medical records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required.
Participates in military specific training (e.G., training to perform security clearances, use of the Air Force Guide to Managing Suicidal Behavior, pre-post deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress) and others as directed by the mental health flight Commander or AF policy.
Participates in team efforts to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise clinical pathway programs needed in the clinic. Duties may include supervision of providers who are in training or not fully licensed.
Contact referred patients to assess treatment adherence. Use validated symptom inventories to assess current symptom severity. Assess barriers to treatment adherence and help patient problem-solve solutions to barriers.
Provide patients with education regarding their dental health condition and treatment regimen. Maintain patient information in a patient registry. Maintain accurate and current notes in the electronic medical records of all patients contacted for review by the managing physician.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE DENTIST:
Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Graduate from an accredited dental school approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA).
Board eligible or board certified.
Shall have been employed for at least one (1) year on a full-time basis in the practice of dentistry or be a recent (1-year) graduate of an accredited, post-graduate dentistry training program.
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Dentist.
