The Portfolio Manager provides support to Texas Partners Bank through financial, credit, and trend analysis for the delivery of the bank's credit products and services to commercial banking clients and prospect. Evaluates credit requests, assists relationship managers in development of credit structure and risk assessment. Responsible for the retention of business through excellent work with credit and service. Monitors assigned credit relationships for compliance, collateral monitoring, and credit deterioration. Keeps apprised of political and regulatory issues to determine their impact on specific industries or clients. Works closely with the Assistant Relationship Managers and Loan Operations departments to ensure efficiency and accuracy of loan documents.
Requirements
* Oversee the Exception process by the Assistant Relationship Managers
* Collecting due and past due financial statements/exceptions
* Reviewing incoming financial statements to ensure that the statements are in an acceptable form.
* Reviewing of Compliance Certificates and Borrowing Base Certificates
* Receiving and reviewing waivers for non-compliance
* Perform credit analysis of loan packages (i.e., quality analysis and risk identification) within the time sensitivities as agreed
* Semi-annual review for all relationships and credits
* Persistent review of portfolio for risk grades of 5 or worse
* Ensure that all maturing loans are underwritten at prior to loan's maturity date.
* Ability to proactively recommend structures and implement action plans.
* Ability to independently prepare and present Loan Reviews
* Versed in legal documentation and ability to negotiate and close loans.
* Regular client interaction to support new credit and ongoing servicing and problem resolution.
* Complete other duties and Special Projects as assigned.
* Assist and respond to customer inquiries.
* Assist in problem loan administration, as required.
* Participate in all required Compliance training, either online or in house
Education and Experience Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in finance preferred or equivalent experience in Credit and Commercial and Industrial Lending experience specifically cash flow and collateral analysis
* Completion of formal Credit Training program preferred or equivalent experience as a Credit Analyst
* Competency in financial analysis and credit structuring
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Financial spreadsheet systems, Salesforce and PrecisionLender

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Execute integrated sales and relationship strategies that are in alignment with the bank's business plan to achieve desired revenue and service standards by meeting assigned goals.
* Responsible for client satisfaction and relationship profitability, while providing customers with a single point of contact within the bank.
* Serve clients by identifying clients' needs and cross-sell the full range of bank products and services to new and existing clients.

* Ensure that all client services and product processing activities are carried out in accordance with all regulatory, legal and governmental regulations. Work with corporate compliance, loan and deposit operations to ensure conformity with bank policies, procedures and Federal and State regulations and laws.
* Represent the bank in civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop expanded business.
* Attend meetings and training as required to continue development and to enhance knowledge of products, processes and technologies.
* Adhere to all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Education and Experience Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field required
* At least 7 years banking experience, preferably in commercial banking.
* Knowledge of credit process /formal credit training and commercial banking products and services is preferred.
* 5+ years commercial banking with demonstrated superior sales performance and actively managed a cross-marketed portfolio is preferred.
