Measures, marks, and writes dimensions on material to be sawed. Set up and operate saw to cut material to specifications. Ensure conformity of finished work. Perform preventative maintenance and minor maintenance required to keep the saw in good working condition. Obtains copy of job packet and move material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility Stacking materials in the correct locations Checking loads are secure Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED Basic math, fractions, and decimals Understanding of precision measurement Ability to operate industrial equipment such as saws, forklifts, and overhead hoist. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment. Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Good eye-hand-foot coordination. Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights. Ability to identify varying types of materials. EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED Prefer machine shop/manufacturing experience. HOURS 6:00 am - 2:30 pm M-F ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for running conduit and wiring equipment per print. Locate and mount sensors, safety switches, junction boxes and operator stations. Install PLC's, electronic drives, breakers, motor starters, servo drives, terminal strips, etc. in motor control enclosures. Design and fabricate electrical box mounting brackets. Responsible for locating mistakes in electrical prints and troubleshooting wiring problems and device failures. Responsible for IO checks on finished projects. Responsible at teardown to thoroughly inspect equipment to ensure that all conduit and liquid tight fittings are tight, terminal block set screws, device mounting hardware secured, MCE, and J-boxes and operator stations inspected. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Install air and hydraulic components on equipment. Analyze machinery for correct fit and functional operation. Interns could work with our Startup Teams, Programming Teams, or Electrical Design Teams. It allows an intern to not only demonstrate their skills, technical aptitude, and understanding of control systems, but also show their personal strengths, desire to succeed, and ability to interact with others in a manufacturing setting - all done with the supervision, guidance and coaching of an experienced Controls Engineer. The time period must consist of no less than two months. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Setup EthernetIP communications on Rockwell based control components. IP Address, Gateway Address, and Subnet Mask. This setup is included on all networked components including Network managed switches, PLCs, I/O modules, HMIs, motion controls systems, and possibly 3rd party components such as bar code readers and printing systems. Install PLC programming stored on a Bradbury Network drive into a completed machine using software and hardware located on our production floor. Perform basic debug of the PLC logic making sure the Inputs and Outputs on the machine are functional and aligned correctly with the PLC programming (I/O Check). Work with Controls Engineers to make sure no errors exist in the PLC program. Tune motion control systems that could include Linear or Rotary servo motors or Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) controlling induction motors. Perform Installation and setup of Human Machine Interface (HMI) terminals applications. Install the system ‘image' and setup communications to the system control components. Debug the interface screens to verify interface with the PLC and other control components. Show programs written in C# in a Microsoft Windows environment. Assemble programs and install them on Bradbury HMIs. Develop operator interface graphical interface modules to interface the operator to the machine control. Discuss the usage of the SQL database and how data can be imported and exported to and from a customer's production data or the Bradbury TSC part download software. Interns could work with our Startup Teams, Programming Teams, or Electrical Design Teams. It allows an intern to not only demonstrate their skills, technical aptitude, and understanding of control systems, but also show their personal strengths, desire to succeed, and ability to interact with others in a manufacturing setting - all done with the supervision, guidance and coaching of an experienced Controls Engineer. The time period must consist of no less than two months. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Setup EthernetIP communications on Rockwell based control components. IP Address, Gateway Address, and Subnet Mask. This setup is included on all networked components including Network managed switches, PLCs, I/O modules, HMIs, motion controls systems, and possibly 3rd party components such as bar code readers and printing systems. Install PLC programming stored on a Bradbury Network drive into a completed machine using software and hardware located on our production floor. Perform basic debug of the PLC logic making sure the Inputs and Outputs on the machine are functional and aligned correctly with the PLC programming (I/O Check). Work with Controls Engineers to make sure no errors exist in the PLC program. Tune motion control systems that could include Linear or Rotary servo motors or Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) controlling induction motors. Perform Installation and setup of Human Machine Interface (HMI) terminals applications. Install the system ‘image' and setup communications to the system control components. Debug the interface screens to verify interface with the PLC and other control components. Show programs written in C# in a Microsoft Windows environment. Assemble programs and install them on Bradbury HMIs. Develop operator interface graphical interface modules to interface the operator to the machine control. Discuss the usage of the SQL database and how data can be imported and exported to and from a customer's production data or the Bradbury TSC part download software. Show and explain PLC logic written in Rockwell Automation's RSLogix Studio platform. Demonstrate the ladder logic created to operate on an AB Logix PLC that is reading sensor, switch, and position data and activating motor, valve, and indicator outputs based on a sequence of events or basic IF, AND, OR logic. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED Able to respond to instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Basic shop knowledge - manufacturing processes. EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED Currently working towards an associate degree in Automation Engineering Technology or related field Or currently working toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field BENEFITS Paid Summer Holidays
