Glen briefly attended Springfield (IL) Junior College before enlisting in the US Merchant Marines in 1944.
Starting in 1953, Glen lead a line of companies that would become BRANDT, Inc.
Starting out as a project manager in 1984, Steve Lankton began at Charles C. Brandt after relocating to Indianapolis from Illinois with his wife (now CCB project manager) Lee Ann.
Glen stepped aside as CEO of Brandt’s Fertilizer Service and Brandt Chemical company in 1986, at age 60, to serve as chairman of the board.
Bill’s son William Charles Jr., who went by "Chuck", served as president until 1989, bringing us to CCB’s next generation of ownership.
Son of BRANDT founder Glen Brandt, Rick joined the company in 1991 after graduating from the University of South Florida with a degree in Economics.
In 2000, BRANDT was named Ag Retailer of the Year by the Ag Retailers’ Association and Ag Retailer magazine.
In 2001, a similar story of growth and passion took Charles C. Brandt into its current era of ownership.
In 2007, the ARA gave Glen its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
In 2011, Evelyn was named an Outstanding Woman in Agriculture by Illinois Agri-Women at the Illinois State Fair.
In 2012, BRANDT was named to Inc.
In 2015, Glen, along with sister Evelyn, was named the Illinois State Ag Ambassador.
In 2018, Lindsay was brought in as an owner and the triad was once again complete.
Expanding on the growing industrial market, Brandt acquired Magnum Engineering and Controls in 2019.
In 2020, Lindsay was promoted to President of Charles C. Brandt Construction, taking the place of Steve Lankton.
