The Temporary Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the firm's reporting and process enhancement needs for a 6 month period. This role will focus on reviewing and refining report requirements, preparing technical specifications for developers, performing detailed report testing, and supporting ongoing improvements to related processes and documentation. The ideal candidate has experience working with enterprise level business systems, gathering and translating business requirements, supporting report development workflows, and partnering with technical teams and end users to ensure high-quality deliverables. The candidate should be comfortable coordinating across departments and working with developers and subject matter experts. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include: Report & Dashboard Support Maintain, organize, and manage the catalog of custom and standard reports used across the firm. Work with subject matter experts to gather business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for developers. Create report mockups and layout drafts for Power BI dashboards and paginated/SSRS reports. Maintain an active backlog of report specifications and enhancement requests in JIRA. Testing reporting outputs for data quality, visual design, and usability against Brattle standards. Track report progress, manage feedback cycles, and support prioritization of reporting needs. Conduct detailed report testing for data accuracy, visual design, usability, and adherence to firm standards. Assist with cataloging, updating, and maintaining documentation related to reporting assets. Process Enhancement Support Support enhancement initiatives related to general automation and process improvement, by capturing requirements, drafting specifications, testing, and coordinating follow-up actions. Documentation support across current and future-state process workflows, including system touchpoints and data flow considerations. Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities based on reporting needs, user feedback, and system capabilities. THE CANDIDATE Bachelor's Degree with focus in business Minimum of 5 years' experience as a business analyst, technical project manager or similar with applicable business tools/systems and/or project experience; Prior experience in a professional services industry a plus Proven experience developing functional requirements and technical specifications into comprehensible format for both developers and project teams Demonstrated project management skills including planning, organizing, and managing resources Strong business system analysis and/or Information Systems (IS) experience Working knowledge of relational databases and business systems structure Experience with project management software tools (such as JIRA, Trello, MS Project, or similar) and agile project management methodologies Experience w/ Aderant professional services ERP software a plus. Knowledge of enterprise database table structures and data flow. Experience with MS SQL or other data analysis tools a plus. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Position Overview This position is responsible for providing accurate and timely billing and customer care services for specific Officers in Charge (“OICs”) and Project Managers (“PMs”), including creating and editing client invoices through invoice delivery in a professional services environment. Make recommendations on return on investment for marketing and BD initiatives THE CANDIDATE Bachelor's degree required 8+ years of work experience in business development, ideally in a professional services environment Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
