The Bulletin company history timeline

1907

Archibald retired in 1907, and afterwards The Bulletin became more conservative, so much so that by the Great War it had become openly pro- Britain and empire.

1921

Archibald also established the famous Archibald Art Prize in 1921 and the Archibald Fountain in Sydney’s Hyde Park

1961

In 1961 The Bulletin was sold to the media baron Sir Frank Packer, who appointed Donald Horne as its chief editor.

2006

2007

2008

On 24 January 2008, ACP announced the closure of the magazine.
